Dead sim alive?

Okay, so after recent update, my sim died due to laughter. Everything happened as it suppose to TILL few sim days later it turns out she is alive?
I have done some research on this bug and it seems something similar happened in November, I am not sure if anyone has similar problems, however the presume dead sim started to call my children - her children to come hang out as a ghost. At first she hounted the house as ghost which is fine, but then she disappeared and were as a ghost sim in the world but not living in any houses.

She tried to meet up with her family and now she is no longer ghost but alive sim after I released her spirit to neverlands and still in "world"? She shows on family tree as dead thought and releationships with her husband are "widowed"

If you have cc/mods in your game, move your mods folder to the desktop. Then start the game and see if the issues are still there.

If the issues still remain, repairing the game may help. To do that, go to games library in Origin, right click on the sims 4 picture and click repair

Is it possible it's a townie clone your game pulled from your gallery? I've had duplicates of my created Sims be generated that way (which can get confusing really fast). That was when I was playing a while back. I've just restarted so idk of that still happens.

Any chance it's a custom death from a mod? (like a custom version of death by laughter)

I was just looking to fix a bug in one of my mods and found that my custom copies of deaths are broken - not sure when it started, but some syntax changed, resulting in breakage, which results in a weird bug where the sim gets an urn and all, but never becomes a ghost.

Probably coding changed for ghosts bc they were adding the new poison death in?

Definitely something changed, but I'm not sure what all in what ways. In deaths themselves, the syntax for death type was changed. So my custom deaths were trying to give the sim a death type of nothing, which meant they never got a ghost trait that turns them into a ghost.

There was also something I didn't fully wrap my head around to do with culling and how long ghosts stick around before they disappear forever. I think that affected some things, but not sure it itself would break death types.

No it is not a clone as when I deleted the sim my "rosaletta" disappeared from family tree so had to not save the game and start again.

It is not a mod already checked that and repaired my game, nothing happened and did not repair the glitch, I still have the ghost sim without household name in the world and when I go to cas with that "dead" sim she seems to be alive but the voice is as if of a ghost.

It was not custom death, as I do not use such in my game.
