It has nothing to do with censorship-they're just protecting themselves from someone (aka a parent) having a cow if they saw little John or little Belle playing the game and see the words and have a hissyfit.

I did like the last wording better but I can hope they changed it because new interactions might come up later. The voodoo doll can make them do things that are not like themselves so it still makes sense.
Since I'm hoping for more supernatural type stuff.. (thinking of the skeleton in the preview right now for example) there might be a tie in for the future, even beyond what we can guess is coming there.
In something like this if it is just for being less offensive in general I just figure you can't fight city hall.
