CC with the free ultimate collection

So I want to add a few CC hair colors to my game- I can’t quite get it to work following instructions I’ve found online- are they not working because I have the free version that they gave out? Do any of you have CC hair colors with the free ultimate collection version?

CC works with the Ultimate Collection

1. Make sure you put them in the Downloads folder
2. Make sure they are just recolors because if they're new hair you'll have to have the mesh.
3. Make sure you turn on CC in the game.

yup like Rflong said. CC works perfectly fine. I have a ton of CC hairs downloaded. Also make sure your Downloads folder starts with a capital D.

Are they zipped files or Winrar files extract everything to a folder on your desktop then look at it to make sure it's not just recolors. You should see the word mesh and sometimes free content is the mesh alone and no recolors, and it won't show up in game without recolors and vice versa.

I had this problem when I first added cc back to my game because it had been so long since I'd played it. When I added the folder I named it Mods instead of Downloads. Hopefully its something super simple like that for you and you get/got it figured out!

Thanks everyone! I’m going to give it a go tonight and I’ll report back! Honestly I love everything about the sims 2 I just wish I had more hair and eye color options! So hopefully I can figure it out

The only sims 2 site I currently have in my list is thesimsresource.com and they don't have much. I'm going to do some hunting soonish though. I've been playing again this go-round for about 2 weeks and haven't gone to see what's available anymore. If she's still around, Sandy at aroundthesims had some amazing stuff. might google her.

Hair.. you don't so much change color as get a whole new style, that comes in different colors. I don't think anyone recolored Maxis hair. Some good sites for hair
