I usually type without looking, but I do tend to look down if I'm using my husband's laptop because I'm not used to the layout. I'm used to how my own keyboard feels. I type without looking most of the time. I taught myself to type on my Apple IIGS with Mavis Beacon back in the late 80s, but I also play piano. Not looking at my hands feels more natural to me than looking down at them.

I can type on my phone without looking though.
