The house I currently have for my Sims is not appearing in my library. Originally this home was one of the starters in Oasis Springs. Once my boys got enough money I copied the house, placed it on a larger lot and then simply enlarged the house. However I can't seem to save this particular version and all its updates and furnishings and yard. When I go to put it in my library I get a message stating the template is already there and what would I like to do. I tell it overwrite but yet it still doesn't show up anywhere. I would very much like to have my home saved as I know how things happen with technology. I don't want to lose it. Am I doing something wrong or missing something? And as for the Sims living in it, if I upload their current selves to the library will they remember their stats with each other or will they start from scratch? I'd hate to have to start over with them if something were to happen. They've come so far.

Try going to the advanced section of the gallery filter and ticking the " include custom content" box . Then see if the home appears them.
With your sims household that you save to the library , your sims will lose any relationships that your sims have with sims not in their household, and will lose their inventory and collections progress. They will retain though their skills, reward traits, aspiration progress and their careers. You could upload them together in one household to retain their relationships with each other.
