I've been Googling like crazy, but have yet to find a clear answer, so I'm hoping - with minor trouble - that someone here can help me. I got my new video card: a geforce gtx 1060 3 gig memory last week. I was able to play GTA V with no problems on max settings. My daughter then updated her modded Skyrim, and my card's LED lighting went from bright white to red. So she turned off the game. On Sunday I was able to fire up Sims 3. It loaded fine, and I had the game on pause, just looking around the world, seeing how things looked better.
Once I unpaused the game and went into live mode, that's when my card's light again went from white to red. I played for about 10 minutes, and the light stayed a solid red. So I saved and exited the game. Now comes Monday, and I fired up GTA V, and the card's light alternated between white and red lighting. Does this mean I need a more powerful power supply? Right now mine is 460 watts. I also upgraded my memory from 12 gig to 16 gig.
Please, can anyone help me? Thanks!

If you had power supply issues then your pc would be crashing. What brand card and power supply is it?

Here's my card, but I go it from Best Buy not online: https://www.pny.com/geforce-gtx-1060
Wait, I could have LED lights that change colors?
My pc isn't crashing and it's coming on with no problem. My new card is the pny geforce gtx 1060. My power supply not sure, it came with my pc, I do know it 460 watts - volts - not sure which I should use.
Can you all tell pcs are not my thing. lol
You are cutting it close with a 460 watt power supply.. chances are its not a quality power supply so you may get issues sooner or later. That card needs a good 400 watt (quality unit.)

It's not bad but certainly not the best.
