Can't kill my Sim

So I'm playing the Legacy Challenge, and one thing you can get points for is having Sims die by other means than old age. I'm finding that things that worked a year ago (I took about a year off from the game), no longer work. Embarrassment used to be easy, by having the Sim walk into the bathroom on folks a lot of times in a row, combined with a bladder failure; no more. I tried to starve him for two days; nada. Tried weaponized and horrifying jokes; when he got too dazed, I no longer had the option to say those jokes on him. Exhaustion from exercise/woo-hoo; if he got too tired, no longer had the option to exercise or woo-hoo (it was grayed out, said he was too tired). Never had much luck with electrocution, so haven't tried that one. Right now I'm in the process of growing a cow plant. I could usually kill a Sim with two gulps, but I'm betting I won't have the option to grab the cake a second time.

Anyway, I'm not a mean person, but this is Legacy, and I do need more room in the house. I may end up just moving him out if he won't die.

Was the sim originally a NPC? If he was, he may have a hidden trait that stops her from aging.
The Weirdo, CityRepair , Nanny , Butler and StatueBusker hidden traits prevent aging/death
Try doing this. Play as the sim. Then type into the cheat bar
testingcheats true
Press enter
Then type in
traits.remove_trait isWeirdo
Press enter

See if that helps.
isWeirdo can be replaced in the removal cheat with isCityRepair isNanny isButler or isStatueBusker if that is the hidden trait that they have.

The new version of MC Command Center mod has a new settle to disable immortal sims too.

I added a new menu option in Other Settings of MC Population for "Disable Immortal Sims...". Within this menu are the different "Immortal" Sims EA currently has set-up in the game. They range from Jasmine Holiday to Vampires. I have some of them in categories, like some that they added in City Living (Love Guru, City Repair, Weirdos) and others specific to themselves. Enabling these settings will make the Sims grow old and die normally rather than live forever and never die. I'm not in love with this being in MC Population, but it's where i have related settings like Bypass Clowns so for now, that's where I'll keep it

Get the Show Sim Info mod. It'll show you why he's not killable, Hidden Traits is a button.

Probably likely to be one of the traits rosemow mentioned, but, there are others with no aging or no dying attached, too.

It was talked about some here in the Hidden Traits thread, if you're interested enough to browse through it. All hidden traits are supposed to be listed, although that *was* said before vampires, I believe. But it's worth looking at. (I bookmarked it.)

This Sim was born into the household. His grandmother was a San Myshuno Sim, but not one of the immortal ones. His grandfather was made by me, his father was born into the game, and his mother came from a batch of Sims legacy loves (designed with no skills) who have been available on the exchange for over a year. I actually tried to kill his uncle by starvation, but again, it wouldn't work. The uncle eventually died from old age.

Since this is Legacy Challenge, I can't use a mod or code to kill them. I'd like to keep his ghost around--IF he'll ever die! His wife is one of the immortals; not sure WHAT I'm going to do with her. If the cow plant won't eat her, I guess I'll just move her away. Maybe it wouldn't be cheating to remove the hidden trait that makes her immortal.

And now his daughter has gone and married an immortal. It's infuriating. I'm going to start checking for that trait before I allow my kids to marry. This still does not solve my problem of trying to kill a Sim who was born into the game.

This is a post that EuphorialQueen wrote about a way of killing a sim. I hope that it may help you too.

When I absolutely positively need the space there is a 'painless' method. Set up the Microphone and surround it with My Sim statues or anything that gives the playful moodlet. Be sure to Enable the moodlet. Have the Sim drink Instant Fun potions and start telling Jokes on the microphone. Eventually they will die laughing.

Thanks, @rosemow. I did try with the jokes, but not in a playful room. I can't use an potions because it's Legacy Challenge, but I think one of my Sims has high enough mixology skill to make a playful drink if she's playful herself. Maybe it will work, but my experience was that when he got dangerously playful, the option to tell him more jokes was grayed out. :-/

I'll report back after I get a chance to try it.

Since I bought the game, the only deaths I've had have been old age and vampires in the sun, gonna be following this thread to see what you come up with x)

I don't have the vampires, but when I used to play a year ago, I was able to kill by embarrassment, over-exertion (woo-hoo), anger, and hysteria. (And cow plant). Nothing I do now seems to work, but I'll keep y'all updated.

Okay. First he had his elder birthday. There was no "funny" drink to make, so I had him look at a playful picture three times. Then I locked him in a room with multiple activated playful objects and had his sister tell him horrifying and weaponized jokes, and the funniest joke in the world, until she no longer had the option. Then she kept telling him jokes until he peed his pants and was embarrassed. More jokes until he was about to starve. She finally became exhausted, so I had him woo-hoo with his elder wife 3 times in a row; it didn't phase either of them. Then I tried to make him work out, but the option was grayed out because he was "too exhausted."

It makes me so doggone angry. No one will die from anything but old age! Still do not have a cow plant, but I'll bet you good money it won't kill them, either.

Oh, btw, I did use the cheat code to remove the weirdo trait from my two immortals, so now they can at least age.

I am sorry that you are continuing to have issues If you have Spa Day or City Living packs, could you perhaps try death by sauna or by pufferfish and see if that helps.

I need a fire extinguisher or something. Seeing my Sim scream because I could not put him out wasn't all that fun.

I ended up moving him and his wife out. I needed room for another baby. They'll just have to die of old age on their own.
