Origin Won't Update (Solved)

It's exciting that toddlers have arrived! Really happy for everyone who has been wanting them!

I seem to be having an issue though. The last time I played (which was not long ago) I logged into origin and was in offline mode. I did not think anything of it, only to go into the gallery when I loaded up the game and of course I had to be online. The game had said that I needed to update origin first in order to go into online mode. I just exited the game after because I didn't feel like playing anymore and told myself that I'll update origin another time. Well, now I'm wanting to play because of this exciting patch, but origin didn't automatically update like it normally would when I logged in. The game won't update either and I'm wondering if I maybe have to restart my computer? I've tried exiting out of origin and logging back in, but it didn't work..

Edit: I just remembered that when I try to go online, it won't let me.

I'm not sure... I checked everywhere to see if I can "Check for update" but nothing showed

Close down your computer completely. Then restart the computer and try to log in to Origin, and see if that helps.

If the issue remains, try uninstalling and reinstalling origin and see if that helps.

Hello, Since yesterday my origin will not launch. It says there is a file missing. Can someone please help me? If someone can, please message me back as soon as you can.

Try uninstalling and reinstalling origin and see if that helps with the issues,

Okay, when I reinstall my origin will all of my game saves from sims still be there or will a whole new set of files be generated? I will defiantly try reinstalling then I will get back to you.

Uninstalling and reinstalling origin doesn't affect your save game files. They will remain the same. It only the origin program that is being uninstalled /renistallled.

Hello! Ive been trying to do the latest update on my Sims 4 game however it keeps saying that there has been a download error and to retry. I have done this several times but it is still persisting. I have contacted Origin but they haven't replied. Does anyone know how to solve this? thanks! :)

Try shutting down your computer completely. Start the computer again, then launch origin and see if that helps.

Go to Windows Update on your computer, and make sure that your computer is uptodate. Then test again with trying to update Sims 4.

Repairing the game may also help. To do that, right click on the sims 4 picture in Origin and click repair.

I am having an issue with Origin, it says it had to disconnect me because of a mandatory update, to reload the page or whatever, when I reload it keeps saying this and not allowing me to go online...any ideas?
