"Re-Install Game"

So i've been playing the Sims 4 ever since it came out, no troubles or glitches. But today when I clicked on the game, a pop up came up and it said:
Cannot start because required game data is missing or damaged. Please try reinstalling the game.

I uninstalled the game and then reinstalled it, and the pop up wouldn't go away. I don't know whats going on, I got the game on Origin and I have a Macbook Pro. It doesn't have a CD slot so I can't buy a CD version of the game. If someone could help me that would be great, thanks!

Remove any cc/mods that you have in your game and see if that helps.
