i just got windows 10 and now when i try to play sims, this happens? i am utterly terrible at technical things and i'm sure i'm probably just over-reacting and theres some simple thing i need to do. can anyone help? thankyou x
edit- so now this is happening. it seems like i do have the file, but its still saying its missing?

After a bit of googlling, it seams you need the Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2012 Update 4

Looking at my own PC, I have the Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2014 and Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2008. Not 2012.
I think steam did install that for me at some point for whatever game needed it.
It takes time but it'll get you the file bac.

I recommend doing clean installs just to prevent issues. From reading some of the post it works fine if you do the clean install.
