After a long time away from everything I decided to start work on a new world. I present it to you in it's final stages. It features 123 lots, most exclusive to the world, some are recolors from other worlds I built in the past. All expansions were used in the construction of this world. Only one piece of CC. The distant terrain. If you have downloaded "Brambleton" you should already have it. The name I really like for the world is Fox Ridge. I'm not sure if anyone else has used that before. If they have could someone let me know. Now, on to the pics!
Update: Introducing Fox Ridge. Remember that this world is in a beta stage. And I might change a few things later and upload a newer version.
Edit: Newer version.
@Loaf01 awesome work! The name Fox Ridge is ok but just a suggestion with so many trees surrounding the town I would use something like Forest Run, Forest Ridge or something along those lines, again just a suggestion. I love the lots they remind me of a quiet country town.
very beautiful and I like the name Fox Ridge, its awesome. I say call it as you see it. also when will you upload it, I cant wait to download and play it..also do I have to have that cc terrain? because I dont mods folder or cc?
Update: I have finished the first "beta" build of the world. Next step is to play test it. Once I'm sure the world works as it should I will upload it. And yes the distant terrain is needed for the world. But, it's a tiny file. For those that don't have a mods folder I can post a link to an empty one for you. Also, I've added 5 more lots.
Yes, the hay maze is one of my favorite things in the town. It appears only in the fall. But, the lot it's on has random things to do in every season. Including weddings in the spring! And @Rflong13 I have enjoyed many of your creations. You are very talented. Another thing worth noting is that many of the lots are "seasonal". And though I do have supernatural, I tend to play without them turned on. So, there is no Potion shop in the world. There is also no studio. Because it didn't seem to fit the small town feel. But, one could easily be added if someone wanted it. I also have built an extra family/house to be uploaded separate from the world. I used them in a few of my pics above. They aren't needed but, I think they are a nice addition.
Time for another update. I will continue to play test the world throughout the weekend. If no major bugs or problems are found I will go ahead and post a link to the download either Monday or Tuesday. Until then Enjoy these new pics.
Sorry, I know it's a day later than I planned. But, I should have the link up by this evening. For those that decided to download the world I would love some feedback. (Download at the top of the page.)
Judging from the quality of your images, you seem to have a very good computer?
I'm curious how a world with so many trees loads and plays on a lower end computer (something that plays Sims 3 on medium to medium-low settings).
I am looking for a world to move my Monte Vista Sims and town in to so I don't think I will be trying out this one. I'm bookmarking it though to see how it develops. It looks nice.
ETA: I don't have a lower end computer, I actually have a Republic of Gamers computer and it would handle a demanding world just fine. I just know many others don't have that sort of power so I'm curious about playability given the large surrounding amounts of tree.
Update: I found a few strange "bugs" with the world. For some reason a street light and tree guard appear in the middle of one the roads. And a found a few walls that lost their texture after installing the world. I've had things like this happen before. Back when I first got Ambitions I build a small world and every washing machine I put in a house turned into a stove when I installed the world. Weird. Well, anyway. I'm going to upload a newer version of the world in the next day or two. So, that should fix it. If anyone else find a glitch please let me know. I've also done some more neighborhood decor around the small parks and some houses.
