My sim's first child, Lydia, has just had a birthday and i was pleasantly surprised when she aged up.

Lydia before.





and now as a teenager.





She looks a lot like her mother.



Anyone else got any pictures of ugly kids who are now not so ugly?

Aw, she turned out great.

I've had ugly kids before but never really took any pictures of them.

Same goes for my ugly Sim kids.

I don't typically take many pictures in my game, but I've had this happen before.

A friend of my sim had a baby, and my sim went over to visit. That toddler was UGLY. Her nose was gargantuan. I didn't have much hope.

She aged to a child, and the monster schnozz was still there. Very unfortunate looking child.

Then she turned teen, and all of a sudden the nose is normal. On top of that, she's a fairly attractive sim. It all worked out in the end.

It's not really zoomed in, so what I can see Lydia didn't look like an ugly child. Better than most I've seen. She's super cute as a teen, but really wasn't that bad as a child, unless I'm missing something?

Most of the time the children are ugly anyway, or maybe it's just me.

She had a fat face, weird mouth and her nose was too big for her face.

I agree she doesn't look that bad. I've seen some pretty horrid babies turn out to be pretty cute as YA. Here is my most recent fav Sim who turned out to be stunning. (In my OP.) Kind of odd as a child.



And all done up with makeup. I really like her like this.

She got her skin and hair color from her dad.

I think Crescentia was an odd looking toddler and child but loved the way she grew up

Burgundy isn't hideous, but I never thought she'd be beautiful

I think it's a bit stupid that children can have a huge nose or weird mouth but when they age up their facial features completely change.

It happens in real life, though. It's actually not that unusual.

This happens to a lot of my sims, the consequences of making a gorgeous or handsome adult in cas without looking at their childhood forms, then making them have kids. some strong features, or settings in cas, don't quite translate well to toddlers and children. Luckily they just need to grow into their features, they usually turn out all right. I just hate when it happens the other way around. I had one sim that was alright as a toddler and kid, gorgeous as a teen, and then just got awkward looking as an adult, still not ugly, but I still wondered what happened when her ugly sister became gorgeous and she was ... not.
