I dug out your Green & White Chun house as I wanted a conservatory for my Twinbrook family and thought it was ideally suitable.
To keep the weather out took very many floor tiles under the 'roof' decorations. I'll tweak it some more next time I play.
That store set has me building things I hadn't planned on doing yet. :P
I use a community garden built by another simmer in nearly all my towns. Now I want to build one for myself that has a greenhouse. I don't want to use the Stones Throw one, plus I want to have a wider selection of plants and I want to put in some nectar making machines.
I seem to have gotten myself into a major project.
The greenhouse is taking on a life of its own. :P
I'm putting in all the plants now. I'm going to move the Steel family to my edited Sunset Valley. The Park is done, but now I need to give the greenhouse a seasons test.
So far the snow stays out, and only half the plants go dormant in the winter, but I haven't given it a real winters test yet.
I'm also adding things to do for fun and skills. There is a nectary in basement and my sims will need something to do while they wait for the nectar machines to finish.
The place is going to look like a Plants VS Zombies game. I just added a Pea Shooters to go with the Sunflowers. Sometimes I forget and visit a garden on a full moon. Poor veggies had no defenses.
Uprooted
I packed up the Steels and moved them to my old version of Sunset Valley. I removed the original Christopher Steel and Jamie Jolina to avoid confusion.
I like them so much I want them part of my master saved game.
It's Monday, but no school since they just moved to town. Ben gets to play in the park.
Christopher no longer has all the friends he had in the other Sunset Vally, so I'm sending them out to make new social contacts as well as try out some new community lots.
I put the Fortuneteller's rabbit hole and the wishing well in this tiny park along the jogging trail.
Jamie had a wish to have her fortune told.
Geewii and Christopher are attracted to each other.
Geewii.
A new social contact for Christopher.
Good. Another contact with Simus Bachelor.
Nice Job. More money for the household.
Done here. I need to run some more tests on the Greenhouse.
I'm starting summer all over again with the move to this Sunset Valley.
I really need to do a winter test, but I'll just play through summer again.
Accelerating the plant's growth stage.
Townies are pouring in. There are plenty of new social contacts for Christopher.
Oh and plenty of potential drama if I want to pursue it--especially with Isabelle Hollington.
Uh oh. This is why I do tests. I'm going to have to fix all those mushroom locations.
Agnes rocking with the Sunflowers.
The barbeque area is working nicely.
I guess I better have them pick every plant in the place to see if there are any issues.
Water balloon fight.
Ow! That looked painful.
I placed the greenhouse on a much larger lot, so there was room here for the Arboretum.
Blair Wainwright is stuffing a lot of nectar bottles in her pocket.
Christopher is going to test nectar tasting.
Another issue to fix. I can't have that.
And he goes way out here to drink it.
It starting to rain and Geewii is getting soaked while she reads.
OK. Go home while I fix the things I discovered.
And I haven't even gotten to a real winter storm for it yet.
Sorry I haven't crept your page in awhile. It sure was a treat coming in to see Page 24. Soooo many pictures. O.o
Keep it up.
I have a similar issue with my nectary room. Drives me nuts when they go somewhere else to drink it, lol. Same with the kitchen table... sometimes they'll try and go outside and I have to rage-click and start moving things around, lol.

Yeah, I didn't think about what they were going to do once they poured the nectar. I guess I was just excited that I figured out how to allow sims to sample nectar on a community lot.
The next round of pictures should show how I fixed the lot.
Randomness
Putting the Steels in my old Sunset Valley threw me off my game. I wasn't sure what to do with them. My main focus is getting my community lots finished and uploaded. What follows are just random happenings as I played and edited.
That Bunch family are an attractive lot.
Now that they have been edited.
In a way, Coral has gone back in time.
There sims were adults when she was growing up in the other Sunset Valley.
Potential boyfriend?
Mortimer had a brief relationship with Bella in the other SV. He married Holly Alto instead.
I should focus on getting her a circle of friends.
I fixed the nectar tasting area.
And I spaced out those mushrooms.
I forgot about Benjamin's birthday. He started celebrating on his own.
Look to the sky, Jocasta Bachelor.
Geewii had the itch for another abduction.
Jocasta took it well.
And promptly fell asleep in the rocking chair.
She was in a good mood that morning.
Clumsy Cat.
Gobias Koffi had a medial emergency while my sims were testing out the Seasons-updated arcade.
He's sweet on Jamie.
Cornelia Goth is concerned.
"Just swallow this."
"Are you serious?"
That's the hair Cornelia is supposed to be wearing. There in Benjamin's thought bubble. The silly game keeps uninstalling other content when I try to install that hair.
Gwen, Christopher's boss.
Time for a basket shoot-off.
The arcade is stuffed with content from the various EPs and The Sims 3 Store.
You should have let your boss win Chris.
That does it for the arcade. I have a list of small fixes to make. I needed to enclose the deck to keep out bad weather, plus I wanted it to change a little for each season.
Christopher won that at the arcade.
Coral gets to go to prom again, and now Benjamin can go too.
BB Hart, a possibility for Benjamin?
Meanwhile, Christopher is taking Jamie out to celebrate reaching the top of the medical career track and getting her lifetime wish.
I think I'll have sims celebrate every time they get a promotion. There should also be a big celebration for achieving a lifetime wish.
Even more reason to celebrate: 5000 Simoleons.
Jamie, meet Zoe Castillo.
With this money, they can dine all fancy instead of at the bar.
And it's right across the street.
This deck changes with the seasons. The chairs and tables are removed in fall and winter.
That was a nice night out.
Interesting prom. This time it created love interests for my sims. Coral made prom queen again.
She has River McIrish as a love interest.
And so much for my plans for Benjamin and BB Hart. He was matched up with Holly Alto. They do have a very nice house. I should have him hang out there. I'd like to see it in the fall.
Coral getting all bossy with Geewii after the prom, She told her to clean up the house.
Benjamin getting a bite to eat.
I think we should get acquainted with the Altos, since the children are crushing on each other.
Pool Party
I'm ready for a holiday celebration. It happens to be summer, so the Steels are celebrating Leisure Day.
River McIrish was already visiting, so that's one guest right there. She's getting to know Coral's parents.
The other guests are arriving now. I invited the The Altos, since Benjamin is dating their daughter, Holly, and I incited the Bunch Family.
And now I realize that I haven't really planned for this party. I'm dropping objects around the guests to keep them entertained. :P
There are a lot of introductions to be made.
Lisa is already feeling the heat.
You can't get between Judy and her husband to make an introduction.
Benjamin and Holly Alto dance. His goal is to end this party with a first kiss with Holly.
I didn't invite Miraj Alvi. Party crasher.
I should have put out more lawn loungers. They are getting upset when someone sit in the chair they want. It would be easier if they were not such busy bodies and would just relax in the chair for a while.
Pool slide. It's from Generations.
Coral will follow in her mom's footsteps in the medical career track--same lifetime wish.
Fiona McIrish is the first to tan.
She is very pleased to be bronze.
That Ice Cream truck really adds to the summer atmosphere.
No need to run out to the ice cream truck. Snow cones will do. I didn't think about setting out the ice cream maker. I wonder if the guests would use it.
Lisa Bunch on the board.
Nice form, Lisa.
Miraj, you're starting to get on my nerves. It's bad enough that you crashed the party, but you the busiest busy body of them all. Sit down somewhere.
Jamie will prepare hotdogs for the guests.
Ok that's it. You're out of here.
Why isn't anyone dancing with you?
Where did River go?
A mother/daughter discussion.
Finally, an introduction to Judy Bunch.
River was inside relaxing in the rocky chair. That object has strong attraction.
Ethan Bunch drops in to Listen.
Hot dogs are ready.
Wow, I have never had a pool party this active before Seasons.
Jamie isn't hungry enough for a hot dog. A snow cone will do.
Not pasty white anymore, Lisa Bunch. You're golden.
Vita Alto approves.
I should have been saving up tickets to get fireworks from the festival booth.
I grabbed a couple from Buydebug.
I don't think that's going to go BANG.
OK, that was a bit 2D.
But Coral liked it.
A spinner.
Probably more impressive at night.
Geewii is tanned...like an olive.
This is a set up for failure.
Next time I'll put the hotdogs here.
Out of the way Benjamin. Lisa is close to drowning.
No wonder. She's been swimming almost non-stop.
Take five.
I was setting up Benjamin for that first kiss when Vita planted herself right between them.
So much for that.
That looks says, another time, another place.
Sunflower finds a dance partner in Jack Bunch.
Time to end this party with a bang, Coral.
That's not the best place to stand, Ethan.
Better.
Bow tie? Cat whiskers? Mitosis? What is that?
Good timing.
Everybody takes off.
Next time for that first kiss, Benjamin.
Coral is sleepy, but there is time for one more breath holding contest with River.
You lose, River.
You didn't really think you could compete with a mermaid, did you?
The night is just beginning for Geewii. She was incited to a party by Jocasta Bachelor. But I'm not going to get into that.
Alright, a pool party that felt like a pool party. Way to go, Seasons. :-o
Leisure day was on Friday, leaving the weekend for a nice time out of school for Coral and Benjamin. Coral called up River to meet her at the arcade.
They played a few games and then left for the nearby festival park.
Water balloon fight. A sim was walking down that path, stopped to look, and then turned around and walked the other way. Coincidence, but funny.
Holly Alto was there with her family, so I sent Benjamin over to meet here.
BAM! Oh that needs to be seen in slow motion.
First kiss!
"If your brother marries Holly Alto you're going to be rich."
"Nah, that will never happen."
Well...someone was creating outside the box.
"On second thought...I want a sport car."
At this point, I saved the game and sent them home.
I needed to advanced the game to winter the season to see how the plants fared in the greenhouse.
And then it occurred to me that a lot more of my homes were in this version of Sunset Valley. I get to see them in winter.
'
The greenhouse.
And wild horses nearby. My sims can't ice skate on that pond for some reason. Maybe because it is fed by the waterfall made it seem not likely for ice skating.
And this was disappointing.
It seemed hit and miss. The greenhouse is symmetrical. Some plants were dormant and some were not.
Oh well. I have a mod. Maybe that will fix it.
Anyway, I loaded it up the game and had Geewii create a profile.
Fiona McIrish invited herself over to use the pool. Another sims drops by everyday trying to get in, but I've had the gate locked. Fiona got lucky this time.
Gotta have ice cream in the summer time. I remember when this was merely a wish in the Ideas and Feedback forum.
Oh and how could I forget about driving lessons. I need to make a mind map to keep track of how much content we have so far.
The driving lesson ended with her bailing out of the car on the other side aof town. Her mother was several blocks away for some reason. I had Carol jog all the way back home.
She had a little fit when I made her do it. It was very funny to see and very TS2-ish.
It was a pleasant jog, for me to watch anyway.
So fluffeh!
No pizza guy, you cannot swim in their pool.
Monday morning, and Jamie is calling in sick.
The hospital called her in last night and she didn't get much sleep before she had to go in again.
This thread was such a pleasant surprise to stumble on to! I used to follow your Generations thread. This just kept me entertained for the past couple days while I caught up haha.

Hi, liljadefern.
I'm glad you've enjoyed it. I haven't been playing much lately, so no new things to report. There are so many sims waiting for me to play them. It's crazy. And there is always some new thing EA is making to distract me from them. :P
EA supposedly updated the Greenhouse (and greenhouse pieces) so that the plants won't go dormant in Winter, but I haven't tested it yet -- had a heck of a time getting my Store patches updated so I could download it and have it work in my game (along with your Happy Plants Nectar Garden; not sure if the updated greenhouse extends to items built before the update, but it might. I could add it to Monte Vista and let you know, though it'll take a while because I just hit Spring. I'll be concentrating on that family anyway, since they've got baby girls -- one human and one alien (my male Sims seem to get pregnant at the same time as their wives!).

My Top 10 simming experiences of 2012
Not a bad year, with 3 expansion packs, providing your game is still running. :?
I did this last year and it's a nice look-back to see that I did actually have fun with my sims. A combination of Sims, scenarios, EPs, SPs, and Store Content came together to give me some standout rounds of simming. I haven't listed Sunlit Tides and Monte Vista because I haven't fully experienced them yet.
#10 Store Magic and my Simscura Oddities Consignment Store
I started putting World Adventures and Ambitions objects in my consignment store to make it look more like a store. EA added magic items to the store and they made my consignment store a fun place to visit. The addition of the Le Cirque set and Supernatural has taken it even further. http://s46.photobucket.com/user/cireking213/slideshow/The Sims 3/2012 Top Ten/10 Store Magic and Simscura
#6 Showtime Completes Late Night
I liked Late Night, but it disappointed me in some aspects and I felt things were missing. Showtime brought in enough new objects to make Late Night shine. I also enjoy the new careers. However, I brought over all the content to Bridgeport. I even partnered with Edna Mode again to start a new Bridgeport. I had a great time with it. http://s46.photobucket.com/user/cireking213/slideshow/The Sims 3/2012 Top Ten/06 Showtime Completes Late Night
#4 Lunar Lakes Appaloosa Plains Aliens
I never played the Lunar Lakes world. I took the objects and brought fake aliens to Appaloosa Plains. It was fun even it they didn't have aliens powers. However, I can now go back and make real alien versions.
#3 Cairo the Lothario
I was bored. Drama was the solution. I sent Cario off to Bridgeport to see how bad he could be. I had him juggle as many relationships that I could handle and even after sims broke up with him, I had him win them back. I played until I couldn't take it anymore and I actually felt sorry for the girlfriend that was living with him. http://s46.photobucket.com/user/cireking213/slideshow/The Sims 3/2012 Top Ten/03 Cario the Lothario
#2 Seasons
It's so nice to see a seasonal changes in the environment. Add the festivals, holidays and parties, and I find myself enjoying the game more. Pool parties are certainly better and I really like seeing homes covered in snow and Christmas lights. It's also cool that aliens have special powers. I had a trial run at it with Jamie Jolina and Christopher Steel.
#1 Supernatural: Faery in the City
This is number one because of my sims and the story scenario I played out. A story always immerses me into the game. Oh yeah, Supernatural had a lot to do with it as well. A faery mysteriously finds herself in Bridgeport where she proceeds to carve out a life for herself, acquiring companions along the way to help build and share her dream--but who is she really?
I loved reading your top ten list! I had never seen the aliens in Appaloosa Plains so that was great, Lucky Palms is my favourite world and I love your builds for it so I'm glad you mentioned it. I love your Seasons thread and Supernatural story so I'm glad to see them on top. I always love to see how you play your game, can't wait to see what 2013 and University brings!
My Trial Run with Seasons has gotten too large for this thread. I think I'll just post a link on the first page, but here it is for now. I have sent some Sims to Monte Vista. I'll probably cover them next.
Looks awesome, CK. I'm glad you chose your Supernatural Story as your #1. You did a brilliant job with it and it was a pleasure to live out that story with you.
Also, I may have taken Zane and used him in my 100 baby challenge... lol. If you want, I can post a picture of his kid (or kids if she has more than one) for you.

Supernatural was the highlight of my simming year. I really enjoyed exploring those characters. It's nice to have that thread to go back and read now an then. Feel free to post pictures of Zane's kids.
How ironic. One of my favorite EPs from TS2 and I'm just now getting around to mentioning the TS3 version of it. :P
To tell the truth, I didn't think it was going to happen for TS3.
I was beginning to feel like EA was going to skip it and make it in The Sims 4.
So you can imagine how happy I am that we will get it for TS3.
University in an open world--I never spent much time out of the TS2 Uni dorms or Greek houses unless I went to the downtown area, or Twikki Island for spring break. I rarely went to any of the campus community lots.
Major specific objects for your sims to use. This is actually how I played TS2 uni. I put career reward objects in my dorm. I love this because now it's part of game play.
Roommates, a little bit of the Apartment Life vibe. Just a little.
Something tells me the game is going to feel more like this on average. :hunf:
Finally! I can make a decent coffee shop.
Bowling! Yes!
University social life. My sims were party animals at Uni. I got their academic requirements out of the way early and spent the rest of the semester having fun.
There seems to be something about each EP that has issues that disappoint, borks the game up, or simply annoys. My main concern is the World Adventures type neighborhood structure and the potential of issues for when your sims return home.
What I like.
Despite the WA structure, I love that it's a separate neighborhood. University rammed and crow-barred into the base neighborhood would have been a very watered down experience with a really small student body. It would have been nice to have a Uni rabbithole in town as an option if you didn't want to have the full University experience, but I'm fine with this.
I like all the new objects and major specific objects.
I like the new traits: Socially Awkward, Irresistible, and Avant Garde. They seem a little redundant to what we already have, but they are focused on University game play and can more depth to those personality areas.
I'm not sure about the skills: Science, Social Networking,I'll have to try them.
Separate town, we can get the full Uni experience with a large student body to interact with. Game play can focus on the University experience and not be concerned with all the other sims outside the Uni experience.
The new term structure--I like this. It's how I played TS2 Uni. I did not play Uni from freshman to graduation, non-stop. I took breaks between years and played the base neighborhood. That was the best way to avoid University burnout. The new structure allows you to come home between terms and also lets you decide your course load for each semester.
The Aptitude Test--your sims life up until Uni is taking into consideration and you can find out what your sim is best suited for and you can also earn scholarship money. This will give more direction to playing younger sims. I will be thinking about Uni when I play them now.
What I'm concerned about.
Half the amount of majors than TS2 University. If there are more depth to these 6 majors and it is obvious to why EA reduce them, then fine, but it just seems like a lack of variety.
I like the idea of social groups, but there are only three, I can see playing sims that don't fit in any of the three groups. I play art sims, but they are not rebels and I play popular sims, but they are not Jocks. I play smart sims, but they are not nerds. We could use at least two more social groups.
Coming home. I hope there are no glitches when sims return home. (invisible, clones, they don't come home at all?)
No Secret Society.
I liked the little side-game of getting your sim into the secret society and reaping the benefits of their connections and objects. I thought EA would expand on it, not eliminate it. I guess the social groups are the replacement for the Secret Society, but what are my Power/Elite sims going to do?
Comments
It's leisure day and the Steels are celebrating before I can get them to the beach.
Jamie's gardening is a bit sad. Between the kids, her job, and other activities, she hasn't had much time.
She's talking up the plants.
Such happy flowers.
Still wishing this was developed and integrated with Seasons.
I wonder what Agnes Crumplebottom is doing. We never see her. I should invite her over.
Problem.
She had a nature call.
Enough of the house, let's try the beach.
I placed a few objects on the beach.
Gotta try the tanning booth.
The golf tees from Showtime.
That should keep him occupied.
Golden girl.
Seriously.
Oh. Excuse me for a moment.
Alright.
Sorry about that, I have to make over Bella Goth whenever I see her.
Let's see if this spray on tan survives the water.
"Geewii!"
That look would stop anyone.
[Whack!]
[Thunk!]
He'll be fine.
Just let him lie there. He probably needed the rest anyway.
Who is challenging Jamie to a slam dunk contest?
Coral challenges her.
Alright, a mother/daughter face off, lets do it.
"Okay...no pressure."
Pressure.
Cool, a pet for Ben.
Aw, it got away.
Lime.
Coral still has her tan.
Beach trial, over.

Back to bed.
Back to school and the first day of Autumn.
Hi, liljadefern.
I'm glad you've enjoyed it. I haven't been playing much lately, so no new things to report. There are so many sims waiting for me to play them. It's crazy. And there is always some new thing EA is making to distract me from them. :P
Fun must be always -- Tomas Hertl (San Jose Sharks hockey player)

#9 Goth Gothic Glamour
I made over the Goth home using the Gothic Glamour set. I then tweaked the Goths themselves. I played for a short while before the next new and shiny sim content came along.

#8 Ravenloft Home Series
I made this house series with Moonlight Falls in mind. It seemed a good fit for it. I've really enjoyed the families I've played in them.

#7 Lucky Palms
Lucky Palms surprised me. I actually like playing a desert town. It's actually beautiful in its on way. The build objects inspired some new home designs and I had a great time with the few sim families I played there. I also liked the casino I edited.

#5 Just Shoot Me in Diesel
I like the Diesel furniture and clothes, but it was really the sim versions of the Just Shoot Me cast that made it fun.

The Sims 4 will be here before we know.
Time does seem to be accelerating.
But here it the Seasons Trial link.

Hi, conundrum_dragon.
I haven't been playing much lately, but I'm starting to get excited about University.
I'm building at the moment.
Limited Edition party object: Partaeus Maximus!
So...YAY! We're getting Uni!
And...Oh No! We're getting Uni!
I have an idea for that, but that's another post.
