I'm guessing you'll put it up on the exchange? I can't wait
I'll upload it. It might take some time though. I'm trying to figure out what I want to do with the bedrooms. The upstairs layout is a bit weird with the attic being accessed by going through the master bedroom. I fixed that. The bathrooms seem a little larger than they need to be. I want to make the place better for having parties, and I would like to do something nice with the landscaping. I'm going to need to search for some inspiration on that though.
I've only gotten the master bedroom finished as of now.
Wow that looks goooood. Can't wait to see what the rest of the house will look like.
I honestly thought I would have it done this Sunday. Landscaping it is taking a lot longer than I thought. I like the way it's going, but I'm trying to get more symmetry to the lot's layout. I'm also adding things like a pool house attached to the garage, a ball room, and sculptures all over the place. The family grave yard is getting a nice touch up.
I think I might put this lot in Bridgeport as well. I've been wanting to play a vampire and a household of attractive familiars. I have yet to do that. :-)
I must say I really want to play the Goths now. I've got to see them a little in the time I spent making over the house. I also realized I've never played a house with ghosts either.
I am in love. I'll be bulldozing the Goth Mansion in my Sunset Valley Master Save and replacing it with this version. And the extra time you spent on the landscaping was well worth it--gorgeous.
I hope it plays well for you. I want to play them so badly, but I still have to edit more sims in my Sunset Valley master save.
I did age Cornelia and Gunther back and tweaked them somewhat. They are too close to becoming elders for my liking.
I want Cornelia to have a daughter, but apparently that's not in The Sims canon. Mortimer is an only child. I was surprised to find out that Mortimer's son, Alexander, goes on to marry a girl named Cecelia in The Sims 3 Nintendo DS. I guess I'll play that storyline out, minus moving to Pleasantview.
LOL i haven't really explored pets either. never seen that before :P does it do it automatically?
Yeah, a little too much. That particular cat loved doing that. :-)
The Unplanned Party Before I finished up the Goth home a little unforeseen incident had me testing my latest project for an unplanned house party.
The Goth home makeover is moving along nicely. All I really have to do now is design a nice garden for the place.
Bella and Mortimer had been doing their homework nearly the entire time that I had been working on the place.
Time passed slowly as I paused and unpaused the game.
They finished and set about finding entertainment.
I was putting some final touches on the kitchen, but I noticed Cornelia was very hungry. It seemed like a good time for a kitchen test.
Imagine my surprise to see Nancy Landgraab saunter out of the bathroom.
Then I noticed other sims popping up around the house.
Apparently a party must have already been schedule when I took over the Goth Household. The situation seemed funny to me because I had been thinking I would need to test the house for parties as I tested the ballroom with Gunther and Cornelia. Nope, they want to test it now.
The problem was sims were scattered all over the house and too many were upstairs.
I removed all the computers and TVs when I got a chance. Eventually they all came down and I locked the bedroom doors.
Bookworms are boring at parties.
Blair Wainwright was the party animal. She mostly wanted to dance.
That is a nice view.
The Goths were too tired to party.
Mortimer wanted to argue with Mr. Alto--or was it the other way around? I wondered why Vita alto and Tom Wolff didn't come.
Eventually Mortimer had to go to bed.
I thought I had finished his room, but realized it didn't look much like a little boys room. I went with stipes because of his shirt.
There.
I decided to just let the partiers party themselves out.
I guessed they partied hard enough to wake the dead.
One ghost ain't go stop no party. 8)
I saw wild horses running by the property it was pretty cool. I did wonder who braided their manes.
But it was past 3 am and these sims weren't leaving. I woke up Cornelia to kick them out.
Nancy and Geoffrey Landgraab had to be told three times.
CK the house looks great though Mortimer room is a bit too stripey red for my eyes to handle lol
Nice lil party that sprung up on ya.
You're right.
I went back in and only left one wall with red stripes. The rest have white paint. You can't see the others with the walls down, but that little section of wall clues you in to the rest being white.
Sunset Valley. Again. I had fun with Bridgeport and some of the new store neighborhoods, but it was time to get back to the Valley.
I scrapped all my old neighborhoods when we got Showtime and I'm updating fresh ones. Bridgeport is done and I'm finishing up Sunset Valley.
I couldn't place the same lots like I did last time for some reason. I couldn't get blank lots to fit. This is OK, but the arrangement I had before was a little better.
Swapping out homes was the last thing I did. Now it's time to edit the townies.
The Bunchs are tops on the edit list.
But I'll get to them later. I need to move a few remaining sims to free up their lots.
I liked their old house since it suited their character, but they're getting an upgrade anyway.
The Langeraks are next door.
More starter homes in the low income area of town.
I'm bringing back an old favorite sim as a Stylist and her roommate to make over the town and test it. She'll live in this apartment.
Velma, the roommate.
I need to build new custom apartments. This is my only one.
This is Jasmine, the Stylist. I'm getting them started on their dance skills. These girls are going to party every chance they get. I only played them a short time before Velma was spun off and married my Cairo sim. I lost track of Jasmine after that.
Time to get them jobs.
Velma is in the science career track working out of the hospital rabbit hole.
Cool, Morgana Wolff is Jasmine's coworker.
Velma will be Jasmine's first customer.
What? You look fine.
"But...I want to look sexy!"
Bad start to the friendship.
Sexy or not, time to hit the dance club.
Party time.
The black light makes it easy to see the bad make-up.
Oh yeah. Put her on your client list.
Spicy!
A little dancing...and it must be lady's night.
And tired already.
Eh, go home, get some sleep.
At least there were more than two people in the club the first night. That's a good sign.
My sims have their game face on.
Looks like someone is checking out Jasmine.
OK, now the real work can begin now that my stylist is on the job. Pauline Wan first.
Sorry Pauline, you're going under the knife.
I changed the eyes a little more than I would like, but oh well.
And then that Stiles guy.
Jamie Jolina.
Fab.
And of course this is where my game... CRASHED.
For the first time in months.
I lost all of that. On the bright side, I think I'll make Pauline's change a little more subtle next time.
The same sims didn't show up when I restarted.
Later on I sent the girls out to work on their dance skills. I think I might have Velma moonlight as a DJ.
It wasn't a long before they were a groovin' and a shakin' it.
Noticed this critter prancing about late at night while my sims slept. I guess the school fence brought an end to the prancing. It also reminded me that I have a few touch up left to do to the school.
Makeovers, makeovers, plenty of sims to make over: Donner.
Mrs. Bunch.
Zelda Mae
River
BB Hart.
She hates it.
Oh well, she'll get over it.
Sunny Bakshi really needed a makeover.
Good job, party time.
but this did remind me that I only had one decent night spot since I turned the local bar into a Showtime venue. It's not as much fun as a night life bar now.
So I decided to turn this house into a roadhouse bar.
Cornelia looks stunning in this pic! Interesting use of the hairstyle from the India Collection
I love seeing her make her way around town. She certainly stands out. I thought I was done because I switched back to my Stylist sim who is making over Sunset Valley.
Guess who her first customer was the next morning.
I was hard pressed to figure out what to do with Cornelia the first time.
Now she wants more.
I have some Steam Punk outfits and that vintage hat-do.
Cornelia needs more clothes.
I guess it will do.
I was curious what a visitor to the house would do.
A beeline to the bar.
While Cornelia played Gnubb.
Enough work, Jasmine. Time to relax.
I think I'm going to like this place as much as I like Wayland's Haunt.
However, that depends if I can get more than 10 sims to show up. First night was only 5, not counting my sims.
I don't think I have laughed so hard at the bull as I did this moment.
She laughed at it all.
I hope more sims than this show up in the future. This was supposed to be the hotspot for the night.
CK i love you sense of decorating, and i always love seeing you town makeovers, it sucks you game crashed right as ypu finished decorating, i would of quit right after that point and gave up, but you just went right at it again. I love how you made over Cornelia, the style suits her
I love what you did with the townspeople of Sunset Valley. Did you makeover Agnes Crumplebottom? If anyone needs it, that girl does. She is actually my favorite sim to makeover, I think once you get rid of the horrible blond hair, she is really stunning. I try to make her look more like her sister Cornelia, I gave her dark brown nearly black hair and a short hairstyle.
Don't worry... I'm sure there are many people like me who still check this thread every day. Reading your threads always makes me want to play my own game.
I love that Goth house makeover, I'm so glad you enjoyed that set!
Also..figured I'd ask... have you ever tried editing the GraphicRules file to get more Sims to show up at your clubs? It always seems to work for me.
"It's like there's a pink elephant in the room and no one's allowed to talk about it."
Custom Apt #2 I only had one custom apartment building. I built a modern version using the old design. It should play differently. I tested it out and found it very enjoyable to play. So much better than playing skyscraper apartments. As usual, I found myself getting caught up in the lives of the sims testing the building.
I was very tempted to leave the apartment building like this. What a combo.
But I caved. I'm now testing it out in a copy of my Sunset Valley town.
I borrowed three of guys who were sharing a house. So I'm getting them jobs and I will play them for awhile to whip this building into shape.
I have my notepad, because I see a lot of things I want to change already. These white walls, too much brightness. :P
I'm not worried about the decor at this point though. I will probably uploaded the place unfurnished to keep the apartment initial cost down.
Two of the guys want to be in law enforcement. The other wants to get writing skills. I think I'll make him self-employed as a writer.
3 Bedrooms. I prefer custom apartments over skyscraper apartments. There are 3 neighbor doors, but I think all my NPCs already have places to stay. I'll be lucky to have any NPCs move in.
Just playing around with wall textures. I'll come up with something nice eventually.
They each got a skill point. Now to go out to meet potential love interests.
I sent my sims out for envning entertainments after testing the new apartment design.
The Bar was dead. so I just had them take care of their hunger needs.
P.U.R.E. was the hotspot.
I had the guys start chatting up the ladies, but I don't think they need much help from me. :P
Sunny should be a nice match for Terrance.
Nope, no need for me to step in. She want's to dance with him.
They are doing fine without me.
Oh, now he's mooching money.
And she's fine with that.
It was a nice night out. Now they have love interests to pursue and I got a nice list of fixes for this building.
YES! Taking the newpaper to the balcony automatically liked I hoped they would do.
What? A townie hosted party that's actually a decent party?
CK i love you sense of decorating, and i always love seeing you town makeovers, it sucks you game crashed right as ypu finished decorating, i would of quit right after that point and gave up, but you just went right at it again. I love how you made over Cornelia, the style suits her
It depends on how much I lose.
There have been times where I had to walk away from the computer.
I've made her over a couple of times.
I made her over once to be the town party girl. The game decided to make her a school teacher.

I really enjoy the Goth Set. I will probably get even more use with Super Natural. My numbers are maxed. I think it's just the way the game chooses sims to visit a lot and also reject and make leave. EA went about it in a non-nonsensical way.
I'm done testing my new apartment and I enjoyed the time spent with the test sims. The three guys moved their girlfriends in. Full house.
Lots of club and bar hopping nearly every night.
I'm still enjoying my apartment testing sims despite the apartment being done and uploaded. One of my sims wants to propose to his girlfriend. I think I'll have them get married and then kick them out of the household to make it on their on. The next couple that wants to get married will be free to leave and I will keep the last couple and play them in the apartment and raise a family.
Today they ordered pizza, partied at the bar, and then spent the rest of the early hours on the beach until sunrise. It was very nice. Now I plan to let them sleep past noon, cheat their needs up, and then let them throw a party on that secluded beach in Sunset valley. I have a no-visitors cabin back there.
Im still lurking also. This page is the first place I go each evening when I turn on my computer. The second is your studio since you havent been updating the imaginarium page. I love love your school make over can we have it? its very pretty.
Viva Sim Vegas! I wish it had come in an Expansion Pack, but I'll take them all the same. I couldn't resist having gambling sims. Wayland's haunt seemed like a fun place to try them out.
I just tossed the premium objects in Wayland's Haunt. Just two more things to make the Haunt a fun place for my sims to hang out.
I need to put a decent light over the table.
New object, new expressions.
It'll be alright, you highrollers.
But the Store Team was just rolling. They created a town that was a better fit for those objects: Lucky Palms
The place is really nice and you can tell some love went into it.
I've always wanted windows like that. I would love to see a 40 and 60 degree slopes.
With all this coolness, you would think there isn't much left to do, at first glance.
But then you start thinking: "I should start putting in my favorite lots."
And then you started adding the new content to those lots.
And then you grab a sim to try to place out.
And then you realize you should place some Ambitions lots. She wants to be a Stylist.
And I've seen horses roaming around, so I might as well add the equestrian center, horse ranch park, and a couple of horse friendly ranch homes.
Hey, where are you going?
No time to protest radiation dumps, I have work to do.
So, of course I want to put in my Late Night lots, and Showtime lots.
I'm turning this Lucky Palms hangout into a hybrid Showtime venue/ Casino.
Yeah, I have an entertainment strip going here.
Oh, wait a minute. That came straight out of Sunset Valley. It's too lush.
That'll do for now.
Now, ready to play..., but I do have a lot of objects from other EPs that will spice up community lots...
I can make a trip to the spa more than a simple trip to a rabbit hole.
Manicure done.
Now have a drink.
Better yet, take advantage of those premium objects.
It's a courtesy, considering the cost of those spa packages.
Hey, what's wrong with you? Hmm... I hope she's not...
I put these back here for boyfriends and husbands not interested in pedicures.
Might as well sample the night life since tomorrow is all about job hunting.
What...? What's that chiming sound?
Oh...I knew it. You're going to have a baby. We're supposed to be making over all the townies in this town. We don't have time for babies. :P Who's the daddy?
I might as well stop for Watermelons. She wants a girl.
Town looks great though.
The other side of town...
I guess I'll track down the father and get him to help with getting her a nice place on the other side of town.
Great town to begin with, then you start layering on your other content.
Awesome x 2
Just when I thought I was ready to settle down and play, a new town to edit and build for.
Im still lurking also. This page is the first place I go each evening when I turn on my computer. The second is your studio since you havent been updating the imaginarium page. I love love your school make over can we have it? its very pretty.
I've been very bad about updating that page. There are also several lots that I've intended to upload. The school being one. I've already made the replacement exchange thumbnail for it.
Sorry, I couldn't resist. Lucky Palms keeps reminding me of Tatooine. I'm surprised that I like the place so much. I didn't think I would like playing in a desert as much as I do.
Comments
SimGuruTaterTot posted something in his blog that got my attention.
The whole Goth Family and their house is going to get a makeover.
Probably not like the Beetle Juice house, but the spirit of it.
I was gifted the set before I could even buy any points.
The set just seemed great for making over the Goths.
]
I'm glad to see 2x2 rugs. I use a little design trick here to embellish the fountain design.
The Original Goth Interiors:
I'll upload it. It might take some time though. I'm trying to figure out what I want to do with the bedrooms. The upstairs layout is a bit weird with the attic being accessed by going through the master bedroom. I fixed that. The bathrooms seem a little larger than they need to be. I turned the lot so sims are more likely to enter the front entrance isntead of the back. You have to set the front door.
Tweaked the garage.
Overhauled the family graveyard.
Tweaked the kitchen.
The Goth's probably can't afford their house now with all the new furniture and objects. Gunter will probably have a heart attack.
Turned that sunken indoor green space into a ballroom.
I hope it plays well for you. I want to play them so badly, but I still have to edit more sims in my Sunset Valley master save.
I did age Cornelia and Gunther back and tweaked them somewhat. They are too close to becoming elders for my liking.

I was surprised to find out that Mortimer's son, Alexander, goes on to marry a girl named Cecelia in The Sims 3 Nintendo DS. I guess I'll play that storyline out, minus moving to Pleasantview.
Nope, I did intend to several times, but I always got distracted by something else in the game. This is as far as I got.
Cornelia is growing grapes for making nectar.
Mortimer came home from school...
...and was greeted by their new cat, Spooky.
I still haven't explored Pets much, so I found this hilarious.
Spooky attack cat.
Not the best start to a relationship with the new cat, Mortimer stomps off to do his homework.
Gunther entertains the cat.
Mortimer wanted to play in his sandbox after homework. Spooky had other plans.
"Hello, remember me?"
"That was fun! Let's do it again."
"Okay...maybe some other time?"
The Unplanned Party
Before I finished up the Goth home a little unforeseen incident had me testing my latest project for an unplanned house party.

Watching the Olympics! But I do check out your pages every day.
Will be downloading Velma and Jasmine. I'd never seen your roadhouse before. Will that be uploaded too?
I've been very bad about updating that page. There are also several lots that I've intended to upload. The school being one. I've already made the replacement exchange thumbnail for it.
I haven't been watching the Olympics.
I've been sucked back into playing Skyrim.
I'll upload the roadhouse as well.
"Now this is Pod racing!"
Sorry, I couldn't resist. Lucky Palms keeps reminding me of Tatooine. I'm surprised that I like the place so much. I didn't think I would like playing in a desert as much as I do.
