Hello and welcome to Music & Modelling. It's back for a second cycle! If you love music and you love playing the sims, then this is the competition for you. 
Each assignment will have it's own theme. It could be anything from a variety of different genres and artists, to a particular theme, such as music from the movies. The idea of the competition is that you will be given a song from that theme which you can then interpret in your own way using your model. You can choose any lyric from the song you are given to use as inspiration for your picture and there will also be opportunities for you to choose your own songs in some of the assignments. It's all about creativity and having fun.
- Models must be Young Adult
- Models can be female or male
- CC is allowed but not required
- Editing is allowed but not required and to make it fair for everyone, it won't be judged.
- You will need to use the same model throughout the competition. Once it has started, you cant change models.
- Genetics cannot be changed once you've made your model but hair colour and style can.
- Be as creative as you want and dress your sim in any style that you like!
Each assignment will have a deadline of about 7 days, sometimes a little longer if people get busy and I will extend the time limits over the Christmas and New Year Holidays to give everyone enough time. I can give out extensions too if they are needed, but please let me know as soon as possible. All assignments will posted on this thread this time, so that it's easier to keep track of them all.
This cycle is going to be a little different to the first cycle. There will be one elimination for each assignment in this cycle, except for the first assignment. Everyone will make it through the first assignment and carry on to the second. Please don't drop out!!
You will be scored on these points:
Relation to the song (does the picture relate to the song? and more specifically does it relate to the lyrics?) 0/10
Creativity (how creative was the picture?) 0/5
Overall Picture (how does the background look? does it fit in with the song? is it edited well? if it's not edited are the speech bubbles, plumbbobs etc hidden?) 0/10

Since we're a few days into the new year, I thought it would be good to take a look back at some of the biggest hits of the year just gone. For this assignment, I've found a list of the biggest selling singles of 2010. You need to choose one song from this list and take a picture representing either the whole song, or specific lyrics from the song. It's first come, first served, so claim the song you want before someone else does.
Here's the list of songs: (I just googled top selling singles and removed the ones that were used in the last cycle!)

Rules & Information:
* You only need to post one picture. You can choose to either represent the whole song in the picture or you can choose to represent just specific lyrics from that song. If you choose to just to represent a certain lyrics, please post which lyrics they are underneath the picture so the judges can see what your inspiration was.
* You must use the same model throughout the competition. Genetics cant be changed, but hair colour and style can. You can add as many other sims into the picture but your model must be in the picture somewhere.
* Cheats can be used. I'd recommend using hideHeadlineEffects [on/off] to hide the plumbob/thought bubbles/speech bubbles from your picture. Moveobjects on/off to move your sim around. unlockOutfits [on/off] to unlock all outfits for more choice of clothes and Motherlode to buy things to decorate your background.
* Editing is not required, you are welcome to edit your picture if you want to but to make it fair for everyone, it won't be judged.
* Please don't drop out! I can give out extensions if needed.

Due Date:
The due date for entries to be finished by is Monday 17th January 2011. This assignment lasts 10 days just because it's the first one and sign ups are still open. All assignments after this one will last 7 days. There are no eliminiations for the first assignment but after that there will be one each assignment. (Unless there are any drop outs).
