    It's definitely...a choice.

As I said in another thread, I would like the Sims store/microtransactions back. But not in my gameplay. Please put that button into the welcome screen, where we load saves, access the gallery etc.

I make gameplay mods! You can find them at CurseForge.

I can live with the shopping cart icon, but the blinking can trigger my migraines. I’ve had to stop playing other games because of it, I don’t want to lose the Sims too.

This is a very bad idea. As soon as I read it in the patch notes my heart sank. Forget any improvements this patch may have made to gameplay, this is the thing that dominates the patch for me.

We already have all the ads when we start up the game and get to the main screen. We do not need more reminders about packs. And the fact that it’s flashing is totally over the top. My hope is that at least they might remove the flashing aspect pretty soon, especially if there are real concerns about it triggering migraines.

I find the packs showing up on the main screen slightly annoying, but they help in deciding whether I want to get the game or not, also to keep track of what is on sale.
The shopping cart icon showing up in game is beyond annoying, especially if it is going to flash all the time. There are packs that I want and don't want, so this will get on my nerves if it does any pack suggestions. I get that they want people to buy more packs, but I don't want everything that is available, and I feel that others shouldn't have to be forced to buy it either.
Granted they aren't the only game I have seen do something like this, but they are doing it in an obnoxious way. I have a game, Dreamlight Valley, where you can open the screen where they have the icons for things like maps, store stuff etc, but I don't feel like it disturbs the game play. You can open it when you want, and close it when you want, but it isn't right there flashing in your face.

Is that always pulsing. the ui is is kind of annoying to game play in general but this is terrible. I spent a lot of money on this game, to have to sit through a flashing advertisment. It's a not a free mobile game.

Not buying another thing until that is removed. :/
I glad I haven't bought anything since for Rent. I wish I hadn't bought that.

I have all packs, I certainly don't need a pulsating button.

I agree with you 100 percent. In the meantime, I'll be saving my money for Life By You when I can get a new computer.

For the time being at least I'm so glad that I haven't updated my game yet. I don't think I will anytime soon if the shopping cart pulses like that my eyes will start to hurt where I won't be wearing my glasses that I need to read. Also I suffer from headaches alot of the time

@flauschtrud Done. So silly, they have a splash screen full of ads every time you load up the game, why do they need a shopping cart button??

I have one mod right now (HomeRegions by kuttoe). I am very conservative about mods/custom stuff but my second mod will definitely be whichever trusted modder creates a "no shopping cart button" UI fix first

Grabs popcorn and fires up YouTube to watch my favourite simmers absolutely lose their ever-loving minds over this.

I dearly love a good rant, and this "gift" is going to keep on giving for a while, methinks. :D

I think I might end up living with the holiday bug indefinitely in order to avoid this blinking shopping cart nonsense. Talk about tone deaf...

I'm so glad I've turned off all popup options in my Sims 4 game. I won't have that problem.

So we have those pop-up ads when you boot up the game, the majority of the home screen dedicated to advertising packs and showing off sales, and this pulsating button we can't remove?
