  • Edmond became an elder and Zoe (his mother) is still alive. Practically all of the neighbors Zoe hung out with when they were younger have passed.
  • Thanks!
  • @mightysprite thanks. I think I might have to set it to off during university for all of them. Else they might graduate and comeback to an empty house they can't afford on their own.
  • I'm trying to figure out how to proceed with my personal ten generation scenario. It no longer matters how long Zoe lives now, since I've made another room for the twins (Kayleigh and Makenzie). They're toddlers now, but they'll age up in a few sim days. But their older sister, Chloe, is a teen. I'm trying to get her more…
  • My 2 cents: Bring back the burglar. I miss that. I'm not into torturing and killing sims, but make it easier for them die. I have a sim that must have set himself on fire a dozen times. He might as well be The Human Torch since it only made him need a shower. With seasons, have random events like power outages, tornados…
  • Since Zoe (the grandmother) is probably going to live a ridiculously long time due to her athletic aspiration Edmond and Jade had to have an extra room built in the house to accomadate the twins, Kayleigh and Makenzie. The twins were about to age up into toddlers, but then it was also time for their first daughter, Chloe,…
  • The nanny isn't much better. Since I got the same nanny that helped out with Chloe, he's become a "family friend". (He would come over to visit before the twins were born). So II don't want to "fire" him. But this knucklehead left one of twins outside by the pool at night! I know the game won't let an infant die, but geez.…
  • I've had this happen and I don't understand why. Today I tried to get Edmond to feed his infant daughter and he sat on the couch and the order kept vanishing. The poor baby's hunger bar was bright rd. I finally made him "'go here" by the crib and "pick up infant" to get him to feed her. Odd thing is, I didn't have to go…
  • @Eleri if I had known she'd hold on so long I wouldn't have allowed her to finish it. I need her to die because of the space. I had always planned on moving the family to a better house, but I also did not expect Jade and Edmond to have twins. I need Zoe to go so I can use her room for those kids who will be toddlers real…
  • That must be it. Because she's on track to see her son turn into an elder. If I had known that aspiration would work like this I wouldn't have let her complete it.
  • Ok, I figured out ho post screen caps. Yay me. Anyhoo...why is the hospital totally run by ghosts? When Jade went to give birth with her tubby hubby in tow the doctor was a spirit! Thats actually the least of my worries, I don't know if I can manage twin infants/toddlers on top of the other sims. I'd like to get Jade to…
  • Zoe is still alive, but she can go any second....and she might have to. Jade gave birth to twin girls, Mackenzie and Kayleigh. I'm almost certainly going to need a bigger house. Weird thing though: At the hospital every staff member was a ghost! I'll post a pic once I figure out how. Has anyone else had that happen?
  • I'm trying to build up my sims bank account so they'll be able to not only purchase a larger house (and fix it up a bit) but also have a decent amount left over.
  • Thanks for the replies. I'm leaning toward island leaning because personally I don't like cold weather IRL. I went skiing once in my entire life and I didn't enjoy it.
  • @mightysprite Thats a good idea about the bathrooms and all. It makes me wonder about the houses in general. Yesterday I visited Summer Holiday's house. (she invited me) and I expected something like starter home junk. Nope. They had a lot of nice stuff and there was like 3 kids in there!
  • So far in my personal ten generation challenge: The first Generation is nearly over. It started with Jericho and Zoe Blackadder and their son, Edmond. They were two kids from "across the tracks" that fell in love, got pregnant and had to make something out of themselves at a young (adult) age. Both of the parents reached…
  • @mcrudd , @mightysprite you're right. I didn't notice it for the longest time but Jericho had a fear of fire. It's funny because I was getting annoyed at how many fires he started when he was maxed in culinary skills and career. After he put out the last fire he started he's had no more fires. It's too bad I didn't notice…
  • It's really cool. I find it funny that if you make friends with the Sim version of Santa Claus you can invite him to go bowling.
  • I didn't know that, thanks!
  • Having "fixed" the weird out-of-nowhere relationship issue with Edmond and Jade, they had their first child, Chloe. Hilariously, during Jericho's (Edmond's father) Elder birthday celebration. Poor Jade was asleep and wandered into the living room going into labor just as Jericho was blowing out the candles! Edmond freaked…
  • Well, I agree about shoveling snow, but I like "talk like a Pirate Day" in real life so I like it in the sims.
  • If they graduate early can the enter university early? Does doing well in this expansion make university easier?
  • I went back to the save that was made the day before Edmond woke up "Very Angry". Which incidentally was the day they eloped. This time I had them "try for a baby" right away instead of waiting until they went to bed for the night. So far, so good, Ed woke up and wasn't angry, and they acted like normal newlyweds. I don't…
  • I've gone back to a save just before it happens to try to figure it out. there are no other sims around except Ed's parents. I have even specifically kept them away from both of them to see if that fixed it. Then I tried to rebuild their relationship but all that happens is angry responses, no they're in the red in…
  • Jade and Edmond got married. Now its time for them to give Jericho and Zoe a grandchild.
  • I created two sim families and put them in the homes next to my sim player family. The idea was for the kids to around to make friends with the player kid. I haven't seen any of them, anywhere. (and autonomy is on) I actually forgot I did it because I never saw them and now the player sim kid is an adult.
  • I didn't know a sim could get fired in the middle of a workday. But one of my sims did because she reported a crime at work.
  • I thought about getting it, but I have a hard enough time managing homework with teen sims. They either end up having 0 to no friends because of homework/family time or being lackluster students. I'll have to research the pack to see if it might be something I could use.
  • Every time I take my sims bowling, even when it's just 2 of them, the non-player sim (even from the same household) just up and leaves before the game is finished. I think it might be because every other sim in the bowling alley congregates near them and thy got looped into a ridiculously long conversation.
  • Both Jericho and Zoe reached the top of their career paths. (Jericho as a celeb chef, Zoe as police chief) Their son, Edmond married Jade Rosa. He is just about to graduate university. They both aged up shortly after the ceremony. (I did not expect that). Then Jade got a sad emotion because no one celebrated her birthday.…
