  • @Turjan That looks great! I always place a community garden with all the plants that come with the EPs I have installed. Although all my sims garden, it's a convenient way to work on wishes to skill up in gardening in houses that don't have room for large gardens.
  • Thank you @MizoreYukii :)
  • @thuggishsplicer I remember many an injury acquired during accidents or fights with my siblings. I think it helps us to cope with other people when we're older. I know several only kids (now elders like myself) who have no coping skills during conflict. If you survive siblings, you can survive anything ;) It's nice to go…
  • @thuggishsplicer When I was a kid black and white was the only option! :D I remember getting our first colour TV. It was Friday the 13th and we watched a scary show and I hid in the box the TV came in :D :D :D
  • I created a simself when I first got TS3. I have made changes to her over the years and this was the most recent change - about a year into the pandemic. I had a pixie cut when it started and had only ventured out for one haircut in that time so it had grown out. My hair is now half way down my back so she needs updating…
  • My earlier comments were based on the game's genetics, which is what I thought your original question was about. What people "see" as far as resemblance goes, is subjective. I base mine in the first instance to what I see but always confirm by comparing slider positions. With mods you can add anyone to a family tree so I…
  • @mw1525 I vaguely remember those base game vanilla days. I do remember clones of single parents appearing but I also saw zero slider children. I didn't really think much of them as they would usually be killed off by vanilla SP as my families started to grow and would never have been allowed into my sim families in any…
  • @mw1525 Have you ever gender switched Cornelia? If you had, you would see there is absolutely no resemblance to Morty. I stand by my theory that premade family members are made individually with no use of the parents' genetics. The Bunches are a good example of this. I doubt there is a shared feature amongst the lot of…
  • @DivinylsFan The setting in nraas' SP about facial blending only shifts features a very small amount. I doubt the human eye could detect it and the only way to be sure is to compare slider numbers in CAS. It's not actually "blending" of parental features, rather than an occasional small shift in slider position. From…
  • @DivinylsFan I think the biggest problem with same slider positions in the genders is proportion. Although the shape may be almost the same to look at the resizing for the opposite gender, to me, is ridiculous. I appreciate that female features are generally softer but the game's genetics take it to the extreme. I agree…
  • From my experience features do not skip generations. If a grandchild has a feature of a grandparent, it is because he/she got it from a parent. This is not always obvious where the parent who carried the feature is of the opposite gender.
  • Not positive, but could be artbreeder from what I remember from when I played with it quite some time back.
  • Thanks @Silverofdreams30 :) It is lovely to see your family sims too :)
  • @Emily4331 I'm with you there, Emichan! :D One of the first things I do when making sims is make sure the mouth corners are NEVER up! Another thing that gets me is the dead eyes. I know there are real people who have the same dead eyes (I look at all people in sim terms since I started playing :p ) but that can be…
  • I have several favourites that I have played in different saves over the years.
  • @StephSteb I think the main reason they get so much hate is, not because they are ugly but, because they can soon overrun your town (and main household) if you play a save for a while without mods and if, as some players do (I am guilty of this in my early days of simming), you marry unedited service sims, game generated…
  • I agree with @Emily4331 in that they are not ugly but are boring. When I see a zero slider position I can't help myself and have to change it! I don't change the default sims that appear in my town because they can't do any damage as they can't pollute the town's genetic pool. I do find myself getting annoyed when they…
  • When I started playing there were many things that annoyed me and I would hunt down tuning mods that eliminated (or modified) them. When I couldn't find a mod I would simply stop using offensive items. Although I have owned all the EPs for some time, I have yet to add them all. I always play a new test save when adding new…
  • Because my sims usually garden for a living, they roll wishes to prepare food using new harvestables so there is always food in the fridge to fall back on when something goes wrong. Also I have never had a sim close to starvation because I like families to eat together at breakfast and dinner. When the kids become teens…
  • My sims don't live very long - usually around 80-90 sim days depending on what my settings are for any given save - so I don't have time to play single sims if I want to fit big families into their lives. I get bored when playing single sims. For me, a full household is the only way to go! I have had single sims at the…
  • @Emily4331 I thought you looked adorable without nose blush, Emichan, but if nose blush makes you feel better about yourself, I say go for it! I never was one for makeup, apart from a little eyeliner, but I did spend a small fortune on dresses back in the day to make myself feel good.
  • I have about 40,000 in my Flickr account but that's only the ones I have taken in the last few years. Prior to that I saved them to disc and I carried many such discs back to Australia with me when I returned home about 7 years ago. I don't know how many pics are on disc but I imagine that there are many more than what I…
  • @ButterWafflesAR I've not encountered any of the issues you mention but I have been using mods for so long that I don't remember the issues I had with a vanilla game. Even if you don't want to use many mods, if you are not completely against them I suggest you try some of mods from Nraas. You can also ask for help there to…
  • I don't much care for building or the surroundings of my sims but I do very much care about having good genetic stock in my towns. I usually remove most, if not all, of the residents and replace them with sims of my own. The residents that I do keep are tweaked to my taste. There are a couple of lots from EPs/store sets…
  • @Emily4331 Emichan, I found one of my Thornton makeovers :)
  • @HillyBeth Have fun with Kevin and Rebecca :)
  • Do you like to play premade sims or create your own? A mixture of both. Do you make stories out of your sims, play sims for challenges (ex: Not So Berry or challenges you make for yourself), for science reasons, play for achievements or just play the ts3 without really any personal goals? I guess to narrow it down, what…
  • @ButterWafflesAR Do you use mods? Even after many generations of sending spares out to live their lives, I have never seen a child disappear. I know that EA SP kills of children from unplayed households but, using Nraas SP, all descendants are safe from EA SP culling.
  • @HillyBeth Whatever you choose to do, I hope you have fun :)
