Perhaps the carts will act like the consignment store or the alchemy shop. You can go there and give your produce to a market clerk and as it sells you get the pop ups telling you what you sold that day. It would make it a bit more interactive than the grocery store...but nothing really new. Don't get me wrong...I would prefer if that is how it worked.

Of course to those without Ambitions or SN it would be something completely new for them.

Well, sell veggies it's not new. you can do this in rabbit hole supermarket now... only change the objet, not the new animation or new things to do... it's not a real PC...

It's going to give us new animations but not new functionality. Unfortunately EA's criteria for PC is just new animations. That's why we get items like The Tree of Prosperity and Fountain of Youth which have preexisting functionality, different from the basketball net and japanese grill for example.

What's with bagging on the Tree of Prosperity? You can level up skills at a crazy rate AND crank up your needs.

    That's gold, Jerry! Gold!

There's nothing wrong with the Tree of Prosperity. It was a really cool item, it just didn't offer anything completely new like most of the PC after it did.
All I'm saying is that hopefully there'll be some new functionality to the PC included with the market. If not, it'll still be a cool object to have, and it'll be really cool to add onto festival lots, or community garden lots. It'll also allow us to get rid of the Grocery Store if we'd like to.

Also, since it levels up a random skill in any of the 4 categories, it's not really useful. The Multi-tab is a lot better and efficient at doing this thus actually making the tree pretty much obsolete. It's still pretty sweet to look at though.

Depends on how you play. To power level specific skills, you are correct... the Multi-Tab wins, hands down. But with the ability to imbue the Tree with your own energy, things get a lot less random and can go a lot quicker (although random is fun!) And have you seen a grove of Prosperous Trees in winter? That's a winter wonderland right there.

However, the Multi-Tab does help with homework... hmmm...

OK, that's the end of my tangent. Promise. :-)

Curious in your blog did you take pictures of the inside of that venue?

Lol, I don't mind it at all. You're right it does indeed depends on how you play. I'm more of a control freak so I guess I'm naturally biased towards the the Multi-Tab. I do love the additional pixies and firefly light shows if you have Wishing Well installed. It's a very beautiful object.

I've been having so much fun discovering Supernatural and Seasons that I haven't played with the Tree for a while. I haven't seen it in winter yet. Maybe I'll make a lot with a grove to see what it looks like. Great idea, thanx.:)

Back to Monte Vista, your blog will have information on every object that comes with the new venue? Well not in detail but a list of some sort? You got everybody buzzing with your hints, I hope your blog will be posted before the 6th, the suspense is... well "suspenseful".

Do you design the items, build/rig &/or map & texture them, code them or create the animations associated with new objects?
Hope you don't mind me asking.

I don’t mind you asking at all. I’m the Game Designer for Sims 3 Store. Mainly that entails being the “ideas guy” for anything with new functionality (Premium Content for example.) I then work with an extremely talented team to turn those wild concepts into something that can actually be made.

Another question. I think people got confused with your hints about what's coming with the venue. I keep seeing people posting about how one of the PC items is an object that used to be TS2. From what I understood, however, is that we get two brand new PC items and then two other regular items which haven't been released in the store before. One of these items is something we used to have in TS2, is this correct?

I just realized now I can make a lot that is the French Market from New orleans in my NOLA town. :) Now all i need are carts to sell other wares... jewelry..books..decorative things.

I really am liking this idea. Very excited to get Monte Vista and this and play with it!! I hope after bills are paid i have enough to get it right away! lol

I really like the tree of prosperity but can't use it most of the time since it's so...."unique" looking. It's a beautiful object though. :) oddly enough my favorite Pc is probably one of the unsung hero's of the store. That vibrating chair!!!! Love that thing, use it all the time!

Aaron there is so much premium I want to see coming to the store soon. I hope yall can find it in yalls hearts to release the champagne bottle from sims 2 that let sims toast. I'm sure it didn't make it into this set but I really miss toasting and it could help for storytelling.

I also want the Love Set that was shown in the volcano in Sunlit Tides and the Love Tub from the sims 2.

I could also use a pool slide, the wave machine, vending machines and an in pool juice bar.

In addition some premium christmas trees and poinsettie would be nice if yall ever get around to making a new holiday set.

Yall are releasing some awesome venues, sets, worlds and premium content. I still love the Greenhouse. Keep up the good work.

My blog doesn’t give information on EVERY object that comes with the new venue, but it does feature all of the premium content and other cool stuff that comes with it. So there might be some additional mimics and stuff not pictured, but overall, there’s bunches and bunches of new images.

    SimGuruCopeland,

Was there a specific spot in Monty Vista this lot was designed to go? I know you have said it's designed to be enjoyed in any world, but it looks like it belongs in Monty Vista. So any advice as to where to place (sort of like the casino in Lucky Palms)?

Thanks again for all the hints and comments!

Yea I'd like to know as well if yall have a favorite lot picked out to place it on. I was planning ou using the 64x64 lot next to the fishing places that were shown but If yall have a favorite empty lot you would place it then I may change my mind.

You gave me visuals of a young child sitting on Santa's knee asking Santa (Simguru Copeland) for all the Christmas pressies you hoped would be placed under the tree :D

I wonder if Monte Vista comes with Graham's festival lot, will it be put on the exchange for everybody to download or will it be in the store as a free item if you have Monte Vista or just simply free.

It probably comes with the lot but since we only recently got news of Graham making the festival lot, it makes me wonder.

SG Copeland, has the ceremonial tea set been ruled out as a pc item yet?

Okay, I'll admit it, I'm a litle disappointed. I'm not sure how much I personally would use this new venue.

Note: I realize and respect that others may be excited about a Market, so yay for those who are

No Graham says you have to download his MV Festivel Lot from the exchange to get it.
