My new and improved Showcase thread!
(How many times do I need to restart my thread? Hopefully this is it. However, this is what happens when your health is poor and you have long breaks.)
A little insight before you browse. I am what I like to call a casual builder. I'm not quite new, but I'm not on the top level. And while I build to help cope with depression and other things, I am also someone who enjoys making families and seeing legacies grow. So again I'm not quite up to par with some of the very talented people you will find on this site and on Youtube and Twitter.
I'm always looking to improve my building and always welcome tips and tricks!
As a personal aesthetic, I guess, I am not overly fond of what I consider Victorian-level cluttered houses, so often my builds will not have the home saturated in decoration. That and I find one can accidentally block routing even with the simplest of setup let alone when one goes bananas on clutter. However, my homes are slowly becoming less vacant, lol.
I am trying to slowly break away from the "block" house look but baby steps, lol. Also not being so worked up about everything having to be symmetrical. Not to mention this weird thing I have about putting trees in the corners of lots. I also like to put bathrooms in the front of houses instead of the traditional back or sides.
But all that aside I hope you all enjoy and thank you for even stopping by just to look in on this crazy little adventure I'm on.

I've never built on such a large lot, so this was difficult for me. I'm not feeling 100 about how it turned out, personally. I did update this build and added a basement room and bathroom and a nursery upstairs.
Little backstory why the basement room is so aesthetically different. The basement is a new edition to the home and was added when the original owner’s family grew. The eldest loved mountain spaces, and often wanted to go camping, so the patriarch added the bedroom and gave it a cabin feel for his child.

I wanted the home not just to be updated but also to give the green/homey vibe when some of the updates for the zone are in place. Has a more craftsman feel, over the more modern aesthetic the updated zone takes, but it offers a homey, cozy feel. This lot is 2brd and 3bth.

Inspired by the last picture, this home has seen a few generations and the interior shows it. But it's a great home to raise your small family. 2brd 3bth

Home of the famous Hector, whose vibrant abstract art changed the industry. He and his wife moved to Tartosa, the place she was born. Being a family of different, but vibrant cultures, like his art, Hector build a home that was just as bright and joyful, a melding of many things. Historical now, but up for sale by his descendants. But the home must keep its colorous nature.
I am just really happy with how this build turned out

This used to be known as Madam Roycroft's place Walpurgis End. Madam Roycroft is long gone, but the odd and uneasy vibes of her home live on. Loosely fixed up to mimic the house in its prime it's on the market for new vic-homeowner. But the fae seem to be taking pity on souls living here!

A classic exterior with a modern interior. Despite its name, the home is very inviting and perfect for a family.

My attempt at a Dog-Trot style home, common in the desert areas of the USA before the invention of AC. This home has a bit of a modern touch, but keeps to its rustic roots!

(Sorry the Gallery image is so bad, I had to build it not facing the "front" of the lot, and I can't seem to get the tool to work to change the photo!)

Small family home, with an open downstairs to offer a cozy and welcoming feeling. Pretty proud of how this build turned out.
