If resorts isn't the next gamepack I'm hoping a romance expansion will be. We haven't had a romance pack since Sims 2. We're way over due.
I agree
We already have a good romance system and plenty of romance items throughout most, if not all the packs. WHY do we need a romance pack or free babies, for that matter? We already have toddlers.

You might as well say why have any pack. Why have werewolves when there are already other occults? Why did we need Seasons when we already had sunshine and some plants? Why did we need Realm of Magic when we already had the voodoo doll? People want it expanded on, clearly. Romance is a big thing that can play into a lot of people's storylines, and the system isn't really that sophisticated. If you flirt with any other Sim, as long as they aren't Unflirty, you can start a relationship with them. A system for attraction/repulsion that's a bit more nuanced, and activities you can do as a couple other than woohoo, would be very welcome.

I would love a romance themed game pack or expansion. I think the romance system needs a lot of improvement in order to make it more entertaining and immersive, because as it stands, romance is incredibly boring in the game for me.
You're right saying that we've had a fair share of romantic items and decor, but that hardly contributes to romantic gameplay, which is ultimately what many of us want. Adding new WooHoo locations with some packs also doesn't really count since the WooHoo concept isn't something new.
I want to see consequences for inappropriate actions, chemistry and attraction, reputations that tie in depending on whether your sim is loyal or not, turn ons and turn offs, more romantic gestures such as slow dance, anniversaries and honeymoons, obtaining blessings from parents when sims get married etc. It's things like this that would make romance much more appealing to me.
Sims 4 Wish List:
> Option to toggle on/off random townie generation.
> Turn vacation worlds into residential worlds.
> Option to purchase separate worlds or a world pack.
While I personally have no interest in expanding the courtship time of my sims, I completely understand why other people want a Romance pack.
I just hope that whatever the pack is, there's more to it than Romance, or it's going to be a while before I bother to get it. That's why I suggested in some other thread that it be combined with Hotels, Casinos, and Heists... But I could live with it just being combined with Hotels. I just want something more ... interesting for my prospective criminals to do (and actual consequences if they get caught) And grandiose Thefts of Expensive Collectables is easier to sell than other options.
Honestly would't a zoo expansion/safari expansion be so cool? something a bit different
I would love that, but I really think they'd struggle to put a lot of new animal models and animations in the game. And if they didn't it would kind of a waste. I'd love to see hyenas make a return, personally.
I've noticed in the course of raising my last two Sim kids that "raise them for skills and abilities" is great for toddlers—there's a defined goal to get the kiddo up to level 5 in the major skills and 3 in Potty to earn a 25% boost to skill gain rate.
It's also great for Children; get them the four aspirations and you get more powerful skill boosts for adulthood.
But for Teens, once they finish Scouting (if they didn't as a child) and get up to an A grade for the career boosts, unless you're planning to send them to college and gunning for the full-ride scholarship, you can effectively skip that entire life stage and go directly to adulthood and move them out on their own. You can use the time to get them a couple of completed aspirations, but they're basically handcuffed versions of young adults.
I'd be willing to buy a stuff pack or even a Game Pack if it greatly fleshed out a sim's adolescence.

And remember this above all. Our Roman gods are watching. Make sure they are not ashamed!

Lol, I've just realised my wishlist for this year is now:
Romance, with jewellery-making
Farming
Horses
Cars
Werewolves
Updated cooking (can't have roast chicken every night)
A new fun vacation world
Freed babies, just for the people who've been waiting so long for it
And that's just the stuff I think might genuinely come. It's going to be very hard for the devs to satisfy me. But I still enjoy the game anyway.
This is in response to the comment that romance in Sims 4 is fine as is. I disagree. Romance needs to be expanded in the game. Going on dates is pretty lame right now.
Here are things we could do in past games that we can't do right now:
1. Play footsie under the table at a restaurant.
2. Hold hands across the table and be flirty.
3. Propose while at dinner.
4. Feed each other a bite of food (I swear I saw this pop up as an option in Sims 4 once, but I've never seen the option again).
5. Cuddle in bed (while awake and while sleeping)
6. Make out in bed (on top of the covers)
7. SLOW DANCING
8. Kiss while slow dancing
9. We had more kissing options (kiss up arm, smooch, tender, romantic, suck face, make out while standing up, etc.)
10. Take romantic photo booth pictures together
11. Woohoo in the photo booth
12. Hammock and car woohoo (would be nice if they could cuddle/snuggle/makeout as well... if we ever get a hammock or cars)
13. Buy perfume or jewelry for our lovers at an actual store
14. Buy flowers from a flower stand
15. Select turn ons/turn offs
16. Scope the room for potential love matches
17. Zodiac compatibility
18. Hire a match maker
19. Go on a honeymoon after getting married.
There are many more things we had in previous games, but I can't think right now. I hope they do give us a romance expansion of some sort. It would be nice if our sims could have better weddings, receptions, and honeymoons.

Sending sims on a date in Sims 4 has always been lame to me right from the start. And which is why that I have never really sent any of my sims on a date somewhere. Except on a couple of them to see how the dating part of the game goes. And I found that dating in Sims 4 was indeed lame. In fact several of the dates were total disaster because several NPC sims would join in uninvited and ruin that special alone time moment for my young couple.
@sunman502 I've had that happen as well. My sim wanted to talk to everyone at the bar except his date. I'd cancel the chat and tell him to interact with his date, and the game would override my command. Now, if I want them to go on a "date," I just have them meetup somewhere like the Romance Festival or send them bowling (another function that I've only ever gotten to work once because one sim usually walks away in the middle of their 3 games). My sims won't even sit and watch a movie together. Any pack or patch we get in the near future needs to fix this problem. I like having autonomy on, but I don't like that sims cut actions short to do something random and stupid. Do they really need to go cook five meals in a row (and not eat any of it) instead of finishing what they were already doing? I certainly don't think they do. Haha.

Since my couples live together married or not. Now I just have them have a date at home to avoid those annoying NPC characters that have to chat up my characters every chance that they get. Only when I feel need to have them go on a date. Even then dating is so lame in the game, and is why I seldom have my couples have a date night.

Agreed (and also with your list). They really need to code dates so that two Sims only interact with each other. And if other Sims tried to join, maybe there could be a 'thank for ruining romantic moment' interaction or something. Or heck, they could even add an Ignore Others option to the actions menu.

I think that's a reference to Spark'd. Ninja had a mustache at that time.

I would so love that. We need nectar making and pizza ovens, pasta and what not. Maybe beautiful glass making too.
Werewolves confirmed.
That's very like the transformation scene in An American Werewolf in London.
There was mention in one of the surveys about an Italian vineyard-themed world, so nectar making could well come in a pack like that.
