Due to a bug that came with the new update 702 does not allow you to edit the walls, which means that I had to remake it according to the default floorplan.
121 hakim house complete. i had a lot of fun with this apartment because I already quite liked the vibe of the original so I tried to keep as many objects and colours as possible
I've renovated fountainview penthouse (renovation is a strong word since I really liked it as it was so the changes I made to the outside and the layout were minimal). but I've made it into a 'vampire who just moved into the big city is having regrets over not looking at the place before renting because there's big windows everywhere and nothing is unpacked yet' type of place.
Nice builds/renovations! Can I ask you what is that object on the balcony/terrace in the fountainview penthouse? On the right side next to the row of vertical planters.
@NationalPokedex I feel you, the gameplay features can be a bit annoying, but can be largely disabled in options if required. I personally don't mind most of them for regular gameplay and will usually cheat to get whatever neighborhood plans cause the least trouble just to fill up the slots. For the save file I'm leaving eco footprint neutral on everything and I might also eventually remake the evergreen harbor neighborhoods just to make sure that the BB items.in the builds contribute to the footprint accordingly
I'm getting closer to completing the first world in the save file. I only have 4 apartments left to do and 7 public lots. Then it's just going around and doing some makeovers for the EA townies since I've already made all the Sims I plan adding. Can you believe I've remade 19 apartments already? This really puts into perspective how the earlier worlds had more lots since all the newer ones only have like 11-15 and the early ones all have 20+
How would you feel about having a blank save file release alongside the main one? Meaning all the lots would be there but I'd delete all the families so you could put in your own, especially since some of the stuff I build cannot be put on the galley or put in the game due to the apartment bug for zenview, landgraab and culpepper
888 Spire Apartments - Uptown
I’m finding myself really struggling at this point since I’m running out of ideas for furnishing rich sims’ apartments and I still have 3 more to do. After that I also have 7 public lots to renovate.
If you're struggling with ideas, maybe take some time to think about the Sims themselves that might live wherever you're renovating.
I do that all the time, if anything I literally can't decorate in Sims if I don't know who will live there, but it's like, with rich people ther s certain things/styles that tend to be rather common especially in a big city apartments which limits my stylistic choices anyway. I do look at a lot of pictures of like interior design things and penthouses and what not and all of them tend to be quite similar. Like you won't really find a penthous with those classical looking fancy cabinets.
1020 Alto Apartments - Uptown
So this apartment was for a sim Diego Lobo who is an in art critic career. Based on the vibe of the original apartment I got the impression of like a fancy bachellor lifestyle which I tried to reflect in my build a bit by keeping some of the objects like the giant game mat and the TV. Other than that there aren’t that many similarities since the original apartment wasnt very colourful which I felt didn’t fit the sim that lived there since he dressed very colourfully and he was in art critic career so I made sure to make his apartment more colourful and filled with nice artwork.
since i only have 9 lots left to do (2 apartments and 7 public) I was wondering if I should make some sort of masterpost for the savefile, like explaining the backstories of all the families I added, an overview of the builds and such. it would be updated overtime when I gett round to renovating other neighbourhoods and adding more sims

So this is a family apartment, which is always a nice thing to do. The idea I had for this is that there’s like a YT family who lives there and they do vlogging of like their family life and maybe do parenting advice videos. They have 2 kids, so one bedroom is for the guests or if you play with them you can make them have another kid. But essetially I thoguht that maybe the dad is/was in a music career and the mum works part time as babysitter.
I have had issues with my pc and as a result had to install windows from scratch. It will take me a few days to get everything on it again, but I did do a backup of my son files so nothing is lost
1 Torendi Tower Penthouse - This apartment is occupied by a fashion designer by the name of Giselle Rossi, who is famous for her bold geometric designs. She only has 2 loves in her life, her work and her cats. With that in mind I tried to make the whole place very modern but with a bit of flair that would be suitable for this kind of person, not to mention numerous cat toys in most of the rooms. Her actial office/studio was probably the hardest part of the build because I didn’t quite know how to decorate it, and in the end I spent a lot of time doing photoshoots with different outfits so I could fill the walls with Giselle’s past designs. I also went a bit out with the roof, since it is supposed to be an apartment building I wanted it to mostly remain flat, so I only included a bit of glass detailing and added typical decorations like billboards and solar panels to make it a bit more dynamic.
At last, we finally got started on community lots. San Myshuno’s Arts Centre - Oh my god, this took me so long to build. I wanted this place to have all the possible objects for creative skills and be fully playable, but also look nice. I based this build vaguely off the art school I went to (mostly exterior). I wasn’t able to showcase all of the features of this build due to tumblr’s photo limit, so you will have to download it yourself to see what it’s like. There is a photography studio in there, as well as a computer room and a fabricator.
I love your art centre! Making it seem like a school makes so much sense and makes it seem so much more approachable and usable.

I found it hard at times to decorate because we don't actually have that many decor objects that fit the 'creative' stuff, like a set of paintbrushes, or single palettes etc. And I did try to base some individual rooms off the actual workshop spaces from my school. I've looked all over the gallery but I wasn't able to find any arts centres that I particularly felt strongly about, so it only made sense that this kind of build needs to be made by someone who actually stepped into an arts space. Similarly to how I feel like a good restaurant could be build by someone who actually worked in restaurant and knows how to get a realistic feel for it.
Ok, so here we have the retail store for San Myshuno. This exclusive boutique is owned by Giselle Rossi, the sim I made for the modern penthouse. The first 2 floors are the actual shop, while the 3rd floor is the staff area. Although I am relatively happy with how this shop tunred out (i was trying to go for somewhat minimalistic look), it was very frustrating to do. I feel like there are not enough objects in the game that look like they would go in a shop, not to mention the 10 mannequin limit in the game. I found myself enjoying the exterior, especially the path with the glass roof (based off a shopping centre I’ve been to irl) and i’ve added a little sitting area out in the back for a bit of realism. The only part about the interior I actually liked doing were the outifts for the mannequins because of how frustrating it was to find enough stuff to make it look like an actual shop, not a bunch of half empty rooms, which is aprt of the reason I’ve added the beauty section upstrairs, so make it multifunction and take up some extra room.
I present to you ‘The Factory House’, a lovely restaurant built inside an old renovated factory building, which has been abandoned after the business went bankrupt due to the previous owner’s peculiar interests and questionable research.
This lot was really fun to build. I wanted it to match the surroundings and also base it slightly on where I come from, since the city I grew up in used to be a factory city that did not survive well economically after the fall of the USSR, and as a result, a lot of abandoned factories have been converted into all sorts of things, like businesses, galleries etc.
For the restaurant itself, I wanted it to be stylistically similar to the cafe I did in the Arts Centre but slightly more muted to work with the industrial, factory vibes of the building. I admit the screenshots for this arent’s the best because the camera was constantly moving weirdly due to the split level situation inside of the building. The top floor of the restaurant includes a bit of ‘lore’ for my save file if you will. I had this idea of the place being originally a brewery of sorts, but the owner of it was really deep into the Strangerville conspiracies and due to his negligence the business went bankrupt. He continued to live on the top floor, doing his research and eventually obtaining the bizarre fruit and using it to brew some drinks. However, he eventually went crazy and died after consuming it and no one was able to open those rooms ever since. If you decide to play with this restaurant I’d suggest blocking the entry to the top floor.
