220 Lovers Lane is a secluded stone cottage on an island in Windenburg Bay. Ideal for moonlit walks on the beach and afternoons lounging in the warm sun enjoying the bracing breeze from the bay. The seclusion is ideal for romantic escapades or inner contemplation or..... a serial slasher. Did you meet the neighbor? I believe his name is Jason... or was it Michael? Hmmm. Anyway have fun!
220 Lovers Lane is a very warm and homely home! @gmcrozier The stone texture of the exterior and interior walls looks so very nice, and gives a very special cozy feel! Very nice roofing design! Very nice homely furnishing of the interior ! I have posted on your showcase thread about your build.
Okay, so I finally finished a build, which it feels like forever since I did. I don't hate it. So, going to post just the gallery links here and if I could get some feedback on how it looks, and even constructive reviews in how I could have made it better. I put a lot of work into the details so hoping it looks okay.
Small Industrial Single is a very nice home! @jeswainston65 Very nice layout of the build! The front steps up to the entry level is very nice. The brick wall texture gives a great look to the home. The lavender looks pretty along the front pathway edges. The sloped glass roofing is very nice! The windows on the corners look very nice. Very nice layout of the interior.
It is a very nice home for a sims couple
You've improved your building skills @jeswainston65 That's a lovely little home of that style. What comes to feedback... You still leave a whole lot of empty space to every room, which to me always look as if it's only half done unfinished project or gives the feeling of emptiness. I know you don't like clutter and prefer clean and orderly, but if you don't plan to furnish or decorate the builds more than you do, you might as well build a little bit smaller rooms. In example, think about real life measures -> you don't have to have a room the size of half a football field for a kitchen The other tip is that you furnish mostly along the walls and rarely put anything in the middle except in kitchen/dining room and living room. Google interior designs and take a look at different ways to lay out furniture, maybe you'll be inspired.
Your newest entry to rosemow's challenge is a good step forward - you placed the desk off the wall, facing towards rest of the room and also have seating area with side tables in middle of the room along with plants, rug etc. Have confidence in yourself and have fun building

Thank you Gwiniel ... both complimentary and helpful. Thanks. Funny thing is I've already downloaded room styles I like and I'm going to work on that. Yes, my room sizes are way too big in most cases...probably because I live in a one room bachelor apartment and long for more space lol. But yes, reality is that rooms don't need to be that big. And I've noticed I like my builds better when they aren't so enormous. Thank you.
@gmcrozier your 220 Lovers Lane, is wonderful, I can see our sims enjoy there time there! @jeswainston65, your Small Industrial Single looks lovely, the sky light is really beautiful, our sims will enjoy!
@jeswainston65, just a tip! You could add sports equipment an skill items in the large areas of your build to fill the space up!
Thanks Bree ... good idea. Started doing a new thing. I get the base of the building done, then I'm going through and doing one room at a time before I build up. That way I can focus on what each room size will be before I have the design locked in. Seems to be working so far.

Why not challenge yourself with that? I don't mean building a single room apartment, but instead a small house with several smaller rooms. Fully furniture it and make the room bigger than it is.
One thing I noticed that alot of your homes give the "box feeling" try different shapes like your room for the oneweekonetheme challenge. Add nooks to the houses, not only to the front but also on the sides. Kinda like this Sims3 build by Onyxium.
I personally find lots of inspirations on the Sims3 part of TSR and trying to create something similar is challenging and you can learn new stuff.
@jeswainston65 I really like how you elevated the entrance to the second floor - I think it's really creative! I also love the glass roof. And I struggle too sometimes where I end up with rooms that are way too big and then I can't figure out how to fill them! Especially with living spaces because I'm a fan of open-concept, but I end up with a lot of empty space in the middle of the rooms
@jeswainston65, here's something I learned about building lots. Build from the outside FIRST. Do the outside shell and break up the outline so you do not have a boxy, one contour exterior. Go see popular builds on the gallery and see how they broke the build up so it doesn't look like one big box. After you get a shell you like, THEN break it up into interior rooms of different sizes for bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, etc. You have to alter the dimensions of your shell a bit to fit your rooms but try and keep the exterior from being one big box.
If you build from the interior first, you can still make a good house, but I think it's harder to get curb appeal since your interior is dictating your house. I again strongly urge you to look at other people's builds to see how they set out their rooms and avoided building a box like structure.
@RobotBees thanks...and yeah, I remember in Sims Original where if your rooms were too small, the Sims would stand there and swear at you lol....but we learn.
Little Pirates Park and Egyptian Villa are both such very creatively designed builds! @liel88 and @luckyheather You have designed them so well for the themes! I have posted about them on your showcase threads.
Very nice exterior design of Tudor Style home! @swcheppes The roofing and the white colour is very nice. Very nice glass roof covered back patio outdoors dining , living and pool area! Sims will enjoy cooking on the bbq and dining at the table in the outdoors air. I have posted about your home on your showcase thread.
Thank you @Gwiniel , @gmcrozier and @rosemow for your lovely comments! My son would love a park like this in real life, with that in mind i started building.

Stunning house @luckyheather, absolutely love it Now I just need rest of the packs to be able to use it in my game -.-

@luckyheather Egyptian Villa is stunning! Great object choices and use of MOO.
