Some Questions About TS3 and DSR (Dynamic Super Resolution)

AstroAstro Posts: 6,651 Member
So I’ve been wanting to play TS3 at a higher resolution (2k, and I’m playing on a 1080p monitor) and I read a little bit about DSR and what it does, but I still have a few questions for anyone who knows about this/has used DSR with TS3 before.

-I have an RTX 2060S, will I notice any kind of performance issues? I know that my card is good enough to run the game at 1440p but does DSR cause any issues in general?

-Will it work in borderless window? I use Reshade so borderless window is a must so I can capture screenshots and videos with the Reshade effects.

I didn't notice any lag issues using DSR with TS3 (GTX 1070) on my 2k monitor running the game in 4K... BUT you can always turn it off if it gives you any trouble. I'm not sure about Borderless Window since I use Fraps instead. The newer version of ReShade has the ability to save screenshots already.

I should note that the UI in TS3 doesn't scale very well beyond 1080p so it only gets smaller the higher res you go.

Thanks, I ended up trying it out and didn't like it. It didn't work well with borderless.
