I can't seem to find it, but this reminds me of a screenshot from TS3 where some guy was eating at a bar and a woman started dancing on the table, right in his food, and he's just looking up at her and looks horrified
Also I once had a Sim get stuck on the cat tree for so long he missed the entire school day.... that cat tree gave me a lot of trouble, actually. This was during the time when this glitch was happening constantly and my Sims kept getting stuck on that cat tree and I'd have to go to build mode and put it in my household inventory, move them, and replace it. Eventually it got worse where when I'd remove the cat tree they'd just get moved to standing on the nearby bed (the cat tree was in a bedroom) so every time I'd have to go into build mode, move the cat tree to inventory, move the bed to inventory, go to live mode, move the Sims out of the way, go into build mode, and put the bed and cat tree back.... and then 10 minutes later do it all again..... I do not miss it.
I just had a sim walk straight through a window to enter a building. His wife used the door right next to the window. It was so quick, I didn't manage to get a screenshot. Sometimes sims just don't bother to pretend objects are actually in the way.
Bess Sterling practicing a classic magician's illusion?
TS2's SimPe with the 'pass through' objects box checked? Have noticed that TS4 routinely has effects that TS2 produces only with SimPe ghost boxes for passing through walls, objects, and people checked. Great shot, though.
I do think this problem is the result of trying to prevent a jam-up of Sims on a staircase, which was a real problem in TS2. Lately, however, it seems to occur far more often than it used to.
@KestralDC Wow. Reminds me of Pinocchio. Is Angel prone to telling lies? Oi. That's a crazy transformation.
There is a jam-up by the elevator at the talent showcase that takes place on top of a skyscraper in San Myshuno. It happens every time and getting one's sim out can be challenging.
@Brd709 That is curious. Do you have mods? If so, I would pull the mods folder out of your game and then check to see if the curtains look like that when you're not playing that household. That is strange, but then again, I tend to play without dressing the windows on the whole. A habit I picked up during Sims3 when the game was already playing badly.

I have Carl's Dine Out Mod and MCCC only installed with a load of custom furniture and walls. I cleared out the game cache this morning and some curtains, CC and non CC curtains don't display properly outside the active lot.

I would still pull the Mods folder. CC can and does sometimes disrupt gameplay. I found this out, myself. Game was fine, then I placed some cc. and suddenly my game was going a tad wonky on me. Pulled the newly placed cc and the problem was resolved. It's just a thought. If you don't mind the curtains looking like that when you're not playing that lot, then don't bother.

I just completely removed my mods folder (my word my sim self's house was almost empty!) The curtains in his neighbours house still not displaying after placing base game windows where the CC windows were.
As you can see in this house in build mode, i placed the curtains correctly:
And these base game curtains no longer display in the windows when not playing this household:

Hm. Have you done a game repair? I can't think of anything else that may fix this problem.
ETA: I just thought of something that was a common thing to do. Upload the lot that is having the problem and then download it back into the same place. Fingers crossed.

The second option worked! Thank you!
Out of interest does game repair remove saves CC etc or is it just a repair on the game files?
My question is why oh why do the stairs still clip through walls??? This seems like something they should be able to fix. I can't post a pic as my game won't start right now, but I have some staircases with landings that are up against the wall, and on the other side of the wall you can see a line where the stair landing is. It's so annoying. I have two of them in a huge mansion that I spent weeks on, and can't get rid of the stupid lines. And they're the width of the whole landing, so a whole tile wide, which means most pictures and furniture won't cover them. And they're too high for that to look normal, even if I could.

To the best of my knowledge, it only repairs the game files. I'm so glad it worked for you, glad I could help.

I had that very same problem. I went into build mode and managed to move the entire staircase just enough to keep the railing from clipping into the dining room. It took some fenagling, to be sure. Best of luck. You may have to open up space on the other side of the staircase to allow for movement.
@GalacticGal Unfortunately I've already built the whole house around it, it's the centrepiece of the entryway, having two huge staircases that meet in the middle with an open landing so the entry is two storeys high. Don't know if you get what I mean, but it won't be easy to change. Not if I want to keep the same feel. And that was my initial inspiration for the mansion (back when we first got stairs that could bend, rather than straight staircases only). So, I'm kinda stuck. Also I think the bug wasn't there back then, or I'm sure I would have noticed it, because I fully designed the two rooms on the sides at the same time as I did the entry. Then I ran out of inspiration on that house for a long time, a year at least, and finally came back to it a month or so ago. And now it's got the problem. So I think it got introduced at some point while I wasn't working on it. Frustrating. For now I'll have to live with it, and just hope they eventually fix it. Glad to see I'm not the only one, though.
It's a shame I hadn't taken screenshots of a few of my oddities when they happened before.
I have a male sim who, when went to take a bath, flipped his legs over the side as if he was a mermaid/man. Very uncomfortable looking.
I might see if he still does it and come back and post the picture.

Is it possible to move the wall a tad? If you have room on the opposite end of the room, you could recover the dimensions that way. Just a thought. Best of luck.
@GalacticGal I can't really visualize what you're suggesting. Here's a pic of my entry:
And then here's the line showing in the room to the left of the entry on that pic:
Unfortunately I don't see a nice way to move the staircase away from the wall. It would look weird. Or do you mean to do something like this?
I might be able to make that work. It's certainly not ideal though. But if EA doesn't fix it, then maybe I'll have to start doing this in future. Because it really does look like crap. I suppose a darker-coloured wallpaper might hide it better, too, but I like the colour I've got. Which is why I think this bug wasn't always there, I definitely would have noticed it on that light-teal wall before. Thanks for the suggestion!

Ooh, I just spotted a toilet roll I didn't know was there! 🤡

Not sure how or why this happened, just going about Winterfest when I noticed this.
I'm trying to figure out if Harmony is trying to return to the womb? The other baby is her identical twin sister, Melodie. Strange.
And then we have the stretched, floating twin:
