@Bonxie I went back into my game after the above statement from me. I decided that since her paternal uncles (three of them) live together in a household, that Aaron (who showed up on the list of households open to her) this was where I would place her. I then went back to have her identical twin sister do the same. With the idea that since that household would only then make five on the lot, I should be able to split them off into their own household. By the way I still didn't see that as an option via MCCC. I checked the uncles' household so that I could move the girls into their property, as live-in owners.
I'm bringing this up to you, because while Melodie showed up in her uncles' household, Harmony was nowhere to be seen. This after some hesitation by the game mechanics. First, Melodie slowly disappeared and then Harmony faded away, just as her sister did. I went back to see just where she went. To my shock and horror, Harmony wasn't in her father's household where she started. Worse, yet the Toddler youngest child was also gone. I kept looking at the game UI, the images of those in the household. Both of these Sims were NOWHERE! This method doesn't work, I'm so sorry to say.
Now, I have a habit of always doing a Save As, per gaming session, so that if dumb stuff happens (and trust me I have just about seen it all), I can roll back to more pleasant times, if you will. That's what I did yesterday. I rolled back and now I have both twins and the baby. What was really surprising to me, is that the game took two human Sims over the three horses when they culled the overage.
If you wish, I'll take this problem to Deaderpool's Discord. I don't know, for certain, if I did something incorrectly, but I selected one of the TWO options, which was to place the first twin with her uncles. I immediately went back to place the second twin, that she was nowhere. ::Sadness:: They are now going to have to be content to be distant owners.
A word of caution: I'm now getting the sense my over 8-Sim household must remain intact forever.
Weird. I did some testing in a MCCC only game and had no issues so far.
Anyway, please note that households with more than 8 members are technically feasible but not supported by the game core. The game is not made for such an situation. All the issues you got are probably because of having more sims in the household than the official limit.
With HH>8 there can always be game glitches and there is no guarantee, that there will be no data loss. You should try to avoid playing that way.

@Bonxie Thank you for all of your help and advisement. I wanted horses. Now I want my YA twins to move out and own/live in an apartment. I have some good news to share. Another player recommended an in-game cheat which worked. I had their uncle Joey add to family. And it worked! They bought the apartment complex of four units. Problem is, I can't get them officially to move in. Can't find how to make their unit the 'home' unit. It's either a bug or I've missed something along the way. But, I did wish to show this workaround for others who were struggling the way I was.
I do love the MCCC mod and I was very cautious in that I only allowed for 12 Sims on the lot. I didn't go crazy. But unless, or until EA gives on this point and allows for just a few more Sims (or removes pets, including horses, to NOT take up one of those precious few slots), this remain a problem for not a few of us.

No, as far as I know, there is no conflict. There are a lot of people using both mods at the same time in the game (not me ) and we haven't heard so far of any issues.

I recently learned UI Cheats can remove the milestones so I was thinking about using UI Cheats for that and I just wanted to make sure neither mod clashes with one another.
