"Script call failed" notification

As of today, most modded lights that I use will not place. I keep seeing a "script call failed" notification. I understand that they are currently patching things however, it is so frustrating it's caused me to stop playing the game. When will the patches be finished? I want to get back to playing the game. Does anybody else have this problem right now? When can I expect to play as usual?

I am sorry that you are having this issue. There are other simmers posting who are having this same issue .
It may be because of the changes in the patch, to now being able to alter light settings by room now.
Cc creators would be working on discovering what is the cause of the issues, and how to fix it.

I too am having the same issue with lights! Honestly I am so sick of this entire franchise.... It's completely BORING to play without mods or CC yet some of us keep holding out hope that it will improve. It has gotten to a point that every time they come out with a new update or patch I am almost afraid to install it for fear of what is going to break in the game.... I am uninstalling and reinstalling now, which probably won't help anything. And if it doesn't I am FINISHED with TS4 I will go back to TS2 and wait for them to get this together. I apologize for taking my frustrations out on the board but this is getting ridiculous like seriously.....

I am sorry that this has occured with the cc lights items in your game.
Some of the cc lights have been broken by the patch. Other simmers are also having this issue . There may be a fix or updated versions of the cc lights released soon.

Hej @rosemow I batched fixed my lights, the total was 35 lights that were fixed

thanks for the tip, you are my hero, S4S also batch fixed my chairs for my cafes and bars (I don't have DO) and is now fixing my CAS CC for all genders, I am a happy camper right now

i downloaded sims 4 studio but it only gave me 2.7.0.7 not the 2.7.0.8

Hello, this has never happened to me before, Ive had mod issues and stuff but never a patch problem like this. Like you, most of my moded lights have a "script called failed" situation witch I don´t quite understand yet. What I understand from what I read here is that my only choice (since i dont get sims 4 studio and apparently doesnt work on macs anyways) is to wait either for ea to fix this issue (has it ever happened before?) or wait for the cc creators to re upload versions of the almost 40 lamps I cant use rn? Please help me

Hello @danisim24
Because you are on a Mac, you won't be able to use Sims 4 studio. But if you go back to where you downloaded the cc lights from,they may have released new updated versions of the cc.
It would be best to remove the broken cc from your mods folder.

S4S batch fix only fixed lamps for me. I have some ceiling lights that were unfixed, does anyone know if the ceiling lights even need a fix?

Are you getting a script call message when trying to turn the cc ceiling lights on? Try going back to where you downloaded the cc ceiling lights from and see if an updated version has been released.

What I noticed is that the lights that were left unaffected (and are still broken) are mostly light conversions from the previous games. I haven't checked my entire lighting catalogue yet but so far, that has been my observation." This is a reply by @gramatique over on another thread so perhaps this is why some of your lights are not "fixed"

My question is, would uninstalling my mods folder and simply placing them back into the game fix this patch problem? I have a lot of custom content lighting and it would be a pain to look for all of them and re-install them.
