Is the ability to create asymmetrical Sim faces not in the game because of lack of demand or lack of technology? Is this not seen much in gaming because people don’t want it or because it’s too much trouble for developers?
I ask because, to me, this seems like it would be a great feature to have. People don’t actually have symmetrical faces, and some of the character and uniqueness of faces is always lost by not being able to reproduce this asymmetry. For example, the hallmark of noted actor/comedian
Stephen Fry’s visage its unevenness:
Even those noted for their looks do not have the perfectly symmetrical faces that we’re presented as ideal in gaming and other media:
I could see this feature being used for:
- re-creating more accurate celebrity likenesses
- creating better monsters
- creating permanent facial expressions, such as a permanent smirk or raised eyebrow
- better plastic surgery failures if/when that is added to the game
- creating cartoon characters
- re-creating better representations of family members

That's one possibility. I also thought it could work if you held down the Ctrl or Alt key and then selected the feature you wanted to work on asymmetrically.
