Putting objects in personal inventory - ANSWERED

I've just spent half an hour searching the forum for an answer to this question, but perhaps it is too silly, too obvious or impossible. So I'm going to ask:

How do you put an object (like a bed) in a Sim's personal inventory?

you cant unless the object is coded to be portable unless you mean the build inventory and if so grab the item and drop into the open box icon under the inventory

You can't put a bed in their inventory,only portable objects that games in OR and collectibles and small objects.

1. Click on the object and choose Put In Inventory.
2. Drag the object to the personal inventory panel, the Sim, or the Sim's icon on the bottom of the screen.

Either method should work as long as it's a portable object. Portable beds came in Outdoor Retreat, so you can do this with some beds.
