*SOLVED*Sims greyed out in Origin, only play with DVD (Removed all CC, ALL Updated, REBOOT PC)

Hi,

Like I said in the title. I already removed cache of Sims 4 and Origin, did clean booth, is all updated,tried to play offline, remove all mods and CC. BUT, the only way of playing the game now is if I put my physical copy in the DVD player and play from there and the game is updated when I play.

So what is going EA? We can't play anymore without the DVD? What about people that bought only digital?

Do I have to reinstall the game? Or only Origin?

Sigh. I like the patch new things, but why it has to be so broken?

I don't know why it would suddenly change for you but I have always had to use my physical copy, or at least have it in the computer when I open the game using the desktop icon. Have you tried signing out of origin and restarting your computer without the disk in, then signing back into origin?

The physical copy is installation-only for Sims 4. You should never need it to play.

Hey, dunno for me never needed the copy. Maybe cause I got the deluxe update and the Outdoor retreat online?

I talked to an EA helping person and apparently the update of Origin didn't install well, so I had to manually unninstall Origin (http://help.ea.com/in/article/manually-uninstalling-origin/) and reinstall it with the manual installer (https://www.origin.com/en-ie/download). If anybody has any problem you can check with the internet chat. It fixed my game. Help you all guys can fix yours too.

I don't have that mod
