    Bookstore Sale

    What's the highest Bookstore Sale? I've seen it go to 45% off, but in the game I'm playing (about 50 days in) the best I've seen is 40%. I'm not at the point where I can throw money away so I keep holding out for a good sale, and buying books at the Consignment Stores when I see them at less than half price. Still, I'm curious about how cheap I can eventually get that Ambrosia recipe?

      Is your sim a natural cook? If so, have them "share kitchen secrets" or something along those lines, with another natural cook in town. He/she could very well learn the Ambrosia recipe for free :)
      I have also had sims learn the recipe from the Cooking Channel.

      Edit: I forgot that there is also a LTR "Bookshop bargainer" that will get your sim a bigger discount than the normal sale price.

      Celebrity discounts are also nice and stack with sales if you're using the celebrity system.
