Not enough room for gift giving party, even thought there clearly is

My sims wants to throw a gift giving party, however, the game says there's not enough space. Does this look like not enough space to you? Am I doing something wrong? I don't get why this isn't enough room...

you need 3 squares from the doors before the gift giving rug will be placed, you can't place under lights and you have them on your ceiling, I think you should put in wall lights rather then ceiling ones.

you can't place on rugs either, when making room makes sure a 3x3 square without anything above it like lights or nothing on the floor like rugs.

It might be the fence & gate. Knock out a section & see if that helps.

I also find the pile likes spawning near the door, you *might* have enough room, try taking out the lights. Once its spawned you can move it wherever.
