Q: What assignment was your strongest?
A: Definitely the second assignment. Though taking the photo with the peacock scared me half to death, I kept my emotions in check and managed to capture a really good shot...if I do say so myself.
Q:What assignment was your weakest?
A:I'd have to say the dream assignment. I had a lot of trouble getting into the right state of mind for that one. I do love the ocean but for some reason my whole mermaid look just didn't go as I had planned.
Q:What assignment would you have liked to see but didn't this cycle?
A:I actually kept expecting an assignment where everything around us would be in black and white with just us in color. We had an assignment a little similar (the one where we're surrounded by our opposite color)but it would have been a little fun to channel a bit of the movie Pleasentville. If you haven't already seen it I highly recommended it.
Q: Do you feel you have grown as a model?
A: Oh yes! I think if you look through my portfolio for this competition you can see how much more confident I've become in my shots. I'm rockin' it now...I hope.
Q:Why should you win this competition?
A: I've been working my tushy off to get the right shots! I like to take risks and use a lot of color so I'm the perfect representative for this cycle.
Q: Do you enjoy face shot assignments or or full body ones?
A: I love both! If I had to choose I suppose the face shots because that usually means having fun playing with makeup.
Q:How was it working with the twins on the "opposite color" shoot?
A: They were actually quite sweet, but so eerie! Honestly I think most twins are a little creepy though.
Q:What made you join SimSTAR Cycle 3?
A: I was drawn to the color angle. Being teal, it's hard to find really great modeling jobs but SimStar has really changed that for me. I feel like a lot of doors have opened for me even if it's just in the confidence department.
Q:How do you deal with the judges critiques?
A: Well they're judges so they ARE supposed to judge me. haha. I try to keep an open mind with critiques and just soak up the advice and use it for future assignments. I'm getting more eyes to notice things I don't, which is a big help later to improve my game.
Q:Any advice for future competitors?
A:Be true to yourself and take risks!
