Infants - A Problem That Should Be Fixed

I have two male sims, one can get pregnant (Case). So they had a newborn the natural way (WooHoo!) and then Daddy #2 (Phoenix) ages up the newborn to infant and promptly transportalates away to use the yoga mat because we all know yoga is more important than watching your newborn become an infant. So the infant is just lying on the ground. So I'm like, ok, I'll have Daddy Case go and pick up the infant and take care of it. Nope. Gotta have Daddy Phoenix introduce infant Callum to Daddy Case first. What? Case is the one that gave birth to Callum. Why does Phoenix need to introduce him to his other Daddy? This needs to be fixed.

Does Case have the beloved trait? That seems to be what is causing this bug according to the bug forums.

Future

I read it could be caused by one parent being a celebrity so they would need a proper introduction first.
