-You can give your toddlers huge skill boosts by reading books to them (up to +3 in skills they wont have access to until teens) and having them use all the development toys. Child development books (mainly the black & yellow ones) give your kids boosts to skills that will reflect in their skills list when they become teenagers. You can also put these books on the floor and your toddler will go to them and read them on their own.
If you put a stuffed animal in your kid’s crib they get additional mood bonus when sleeping with it. You can also put the stuffed animal into a sim’s inventory and have the same effect.
-Placing bubble bath soap and a rubber ducky in your tub allows you to have bubble baths and to bath until tranquil.
-You can place your awards, jewelry cuts and other knick knacks on your fireplace by dragging the item over it and hitting M key to position it.

Eating at least 3 apples when pregnant gives you boys and watermelons gives you girl.
Listening to kids music and watching kids shows while pregnant gives you a better developed kid and access to pick traits at birth.

If you’re on a vacation and your time is due to end in approximately 2 hours, head to the local bookstore and begin reading a book. If time is up and your sim is still reading, they will take the book home with them in their inventory. Sell it when you get home for a tidy profit!
Sims actually have gender preferences. This can be seen through the use of twallan’s Master Controller.

Barbara Walters: Journalism / Writing (Workaholic, too) Lola Belle: Music and Charisma Tom Wordy: Music, Guitar, Athletic Emmy Star: Charisma, Filmmaking, Athletic.) They are all 4/5 stars and you see them everywhere. You can easily impress them by talking about any of the above traits, then when you can really talk to them, enthuse about the same subjects, double bonus after each ‘Enthuse about…”. Can be best friends with all of them in 5 mins per sim. Regardless of charisma level.
Mad Scientists (Level 10 Science career) can perform experiments on just about everything to give them a boost / decrease in performance or on the mood of the sim who used it.
Level 10 Chefs get a Kelvin Zero fridge that all but totally removes food decay. They also get lots of perfect angel food cakes to take home.
You can explore catacombs to have an adventure and free stuffs.
Sculptors who make enough of them, will eventually make ice creations that never melt
Planting/Growing plasma fruit might spawn vamp gnomes in your house.
Vamp gnomes will turn your children’s teddy into a vamp gnome.
For your musician sims they can receive higher and more tips from playing on the subways. There’s also a new option to perform on the Sports Arena and the Theater.
