We know several fixes are coming in the patch this month. I am speculating on what caused them to occur in the first place and if they could be clues about future content.
A few examples of this happening in the past, with HSY we had the aging glitch which could have been caused by the team working on the new life stage (infants). Before cottage living came out we had a gardening glitch. Before machino stuff there was a glitch with photos disappearing... what could the team be working on that's causing the current glitches?
Holiday glitch- maybe we are getting more holiday options in the future?
NPC not showing up- maybe the team is working on multi function lots or something like that...

I read a similar hypothesis too, also justified by the fact that apparently there are bugs also with guitars and violins.
Could they be working on a bands pack for later this year?🤞🏼
I have only once had a glitch that could be seen as a hint. A few weeks before we got terrain tools one of my lots was bugged and had a slight raise in the terrain. But I couldn't flatten it because we didn't have terrain tools at the moment. I just quit that save, it wasn't an important save and didn't think of it any more until terrain tools came a few weeks later. So glitch being a hint is possible.

Given that the jewelry has buff effects on Sims, I suspect it just wasn't tested on Teens separately.
I thought the same thing. That or they're shortening teens.
With the introduction of high school years, the team lengthened the teen life stage. It would be strange or rather unproductive to now turn that decision back. As much as I dislike the inbalace between child and teen sims, changing age lengths affects ever sim. If I remember correctly there were bugs with sims aging when the team did that adjustment for high school years.
I meant making their height shorter, sorry. If you look at the jewelry distortion, the teens look a decent amount shorter than they did before distortion. At least they did in one of the photo comparisons I saw here on the forums.
Yeah, I was wondering if it might be that, or perhaps the much demanded height slider. I mean, I don't know that they can do it without a massive overhaul ov their animations too, so maybe we should keep an eye out for (new) weird animation glitches.
I just want to point out, though, that the last two patches have had more glitches, some of them game breaking, than all the other patches combined from Cottage Living through the horse expansion. Or at least that is the way it seems to me.
I cannot imagine them coming out with enough new stuff to cover all those glitches .... LOL
