Question about puberty for teens

Can anyone tell me without any spoilers about how long into a normal life span my teen should be seeing changes of any kind? My teen just went over the half way mark (only ten days til age up) and I got nothing. Nada. Beginning to think that's bugged in my game, too.

I think its random. I had aging turned off and my sim went through puberty for maybe a week in game.

Puberty is basically acne, so some teens get it, some don't. Also, teens with facial hair and hair growth on will get the moodlets sometimes when they need to shave.

Thanks for the answers, guys. So really, not a whole lot going on with it. Well, I'll turn on facial hair growth, anyway.

My Sim (and I play on long) has only about five-six days left before he ages up to YA. He just now grew facial hair. Of course, I failed to see the toggle for it in CAS. D'Oh. He just shaved for the very first time.
