Origin Pushed A TS3 "Patch", Launcher Uninstalled Worlds, Save Bonked And Launcher Won't Reinstall

Right in the middle of my get-back-into-TS3 night.

I'm getting the error, "Sims3Pack install failed. Please make sure your game has the latest software updates and try again." The Launcher shows the latest patch [1.69.43]. When I try to search this error on Google, I am met with "old" fixes from when the game was still receiving patches. -_-

Unfortunately, I was playing Riverview, and since it uninstalled the world I can't load my save. Help! :#

    This sounds like more of an Origin failure than anything else. You may want to post this question on EA's Answers.HQ board for TS3 to see if the experts there can help you through it.

    Glad I'm not the only one with issues with Origin... it won't even let me log in! And I'm switching computer soon and I really hope my game works... I wanted to test my old saves before I chose to move them or start from scratch.

    Yeah! I'm not sure what's up. I also noticed they changed the game thumbnail for TS3 in the library. Maybe they did some background work?

    I expect another update for me tomorrow or some day after. I was put into this Origin Access trial, and the game got an update even though I explicitly denied any "upgrade". The trial should end for me soon, so I guess that means another update again. If I then lose access to the game, I will be very upset. But let's see first.

    Nothing bad happened on the automatic end of the trial for me, so all's well.

    Same thing for me. It's only The Sims 3 Store Content...it won't stay installed... Did it to me twice now. Can't even play anymore.

    I found that you can't use the desktop icon to open launcher/game you have to hit play from Origin Launcher. So stupid.

    I have had issues since around March. Last time they helped me, my game had a huge update. I had bought two games and I played. Next day, messed up and I can't play Sims4 or get on Origin. I haven't been able to get with them and fix it, because of a death in the family and having to deal with estate issue, kids, holidays, getting behind at the house, slow internet, ECT. The only good thing is that I am getting games at a discount instead of full price that I always paid.

    I could only play Sims3 because it had a launcher. I mentioned that a couple weeks ago that it was one thing good about the launcher. I may not be able to play either game if that's the case. If they can't fix this issue for the players that have it, then they shouldn't mess with anything else till they figure it out.

    I'm definitely thinking about just starting from scratch. I might recreate the Montoya girls starting from when they're babies.

    Sadly, with this, I haven't been able to upload Valentina to the exchange for @Emily4331 like shs requested as she helped create them. Hopefully I can recreate them as best as I can if I get it to work starting fresh.

    I'll start by starting a simple save to make sure things work. I will add Nraas ASAP and a couple ATS3 and MTS stuff to start. If it works then I'll download CAW and start creating my own world, which I've been wanting to for a while.

    I'll be sad losing Valentina, Juliette, Dexter, Justin, Nellie, Christopher, Lacey, Lucas, Lexi, Walker, and my many other beautiful sims. I know now how important adding all of them to the Exchange will be jn the future so I won't entirely lose my sims again.
    On the bright side, I won't lose Juliette since I did upload her.
    Enough of my rambling though. Hopefully I'll make the switch this week. Or at least this month.
