I just started playing Sims 4 and I was building a house and when I finished I went to Save As and the game crashed.
I was wondering if autosaves may have saved something, where would they be? When I go to load game, the only world doesn't have any of the edits I made, so I was wondering if that means what I built is gone, or if there's some possible way there might be a backup file I can get.
I don't know if it's a bug, but I definitely don't think it's my computer specs or my computer overloading. Intel i7 processor, 8GB Ram, Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050. Only origins was open when I was playing.
Is autosave something you have to turn on or is it a default feature? I'm pretty sure what I made is gone, but if there's a chance there's some autosave file somewhere I'd like to know how to find it. Still getting used to the Sims 4 Interface because I've been playing Sims 3 for a veeeery long time.
Thank you.

There isn’t an autosave now with Sims 4. When the game was first released, there was an autosave file, but now you need to save the game yourself. You can though recover earlier save game versions of your files. To do that , go to the main screen of sims 4, and click on the " load game " button.Click on your save game file picture. Then click on the " recover game " button down the right hand side bottom of the screen,. Press on an earlier version of the save game from the menu that pops up. Then load that save game version.
I am sorry that your game crashed on saving and you lost what you built You may not be able to recover it.
