Teaching Career.

Hi all, It's me, SCG!

It's my personal opinion that TS3 should have a teaching career, we have a school but WHO IN THE WORLD IS TEACHING THE CHILDREN?!
I've thought about it and if EA does eventually add it in then I thought I might help them

Level 1 Teacher Assistant (Thank you to velcroshoes for this idea!)
Level 2 Office Administrator Assistant (Thank you to MadamLee For telling me this)
Level 3... Substitute Teacher
Level 4 Pre-school teacher
Level 5 Elementry/ Primary school teacher
Level 6 High School Teacher
Level 7 Deputy Head master/mistress
Level 8 Head Master/Mistress
Level 9 School inspector (Thank you to ncisGibbs02 for that idea!)

So do you like these ideas? Also, anything you can add to this career?

This is cool. I like it!

    To finish it how about;

    Career 9: School Inspector.
    Career 10: Minister for Education.

Now alternating between Sims 2,3 and 4! 😊☕️🌞

Yeah I was thinking minister for education but then I was sort like
"Isn't that more like the political career thing?"
I will add in school inspector at level nine though THANKS!

I love, love, love this idea. I once though about it too. I am in teaching and there is a school, so why isn't there a teaching career?

The first step in an education career is a janitor?

Yeah it was all I could think of... and I figured all the EA job's start with a rather crappy job.... No offense to any Janitors out there!

Er... the military career starts as a latrine cleaner. That has little to do with the actual military.

In the Sims 1&2 in the science career one peg is a rat cage cleaner!

You have to start somewhere. I like the jobs starting off horrible, that way when they hit the 'big time' you feel you've accomplished something.

Teaching is a great idea! I definately wish for it!

Maybe for Level 10, it could be a Superintendant person (you know, like the people on the school board and stuff?)

And for Level 2... aren't they called Secretaries? haha, or at least I think they are... :)

Ohhh! And what about a College Proffessor after High School Teacher??

What skills would they need to learn in order to advance in this career?

I would say logic but what if they needed a mutual amount of all different traits?

I think their should be a "lunch lady/server" and they need cooking skills to get to that level.

Then there should be a "Coach" and they need a little bit of athletic skill to get to that level.

    Things like that...

This! PLEASE! I really want a teaching career on the sims 3. I mean that school is just standing there for education. I don't even see why teaching didn't come with the game in the first place. I had my hopes so high!

Janitor isn't a bad job. My dad was a Janitor all his life, now he's general manager. He runs the company.
    Hmm, maybe another job choice?
Starting off as a janitor, and working your way up to boss! Anyone care to fill in the blanks?

Maybe there could be "Branches" for these things... or somthing... I like the lunch lady idea! But not sure where to put it... I think that should be the first one, but you say that you should need the cooking skills to get to it.

There was a teaching career in TS2, if you went to University so it will probably be added in the future I would think.

Yes, i agree there should be branches....

there could be one branch that focuses on spesific aspects - like coach, head of english and lunch lady - and the other with different stages of the school - elementary school teacher, high school teacher and college teacher -

    love the idea btw!

How about superintendant (sp?) I don't know what it's called in other places but it's the person who is in charge of the entire school district

How about adding a Student teacher part? Also I would think you would be a substitute before being a teacher aide. In the real world, substitutes get paid more but it leans more to part time with no insurance, while aide is more full time. You could also add in Assistant Principal, Principal and maybe Tenure Teacher since pay scale goes up with experience/education more than what grade level you're teaching. Just some ideas to throw out there.
