I've managed to
successfully edit the world lighting in the .world files. Next, I'd like to learn how to edit the terrain textures per-world, which would allow for a great level of customization.
I know that the textures are stored in resource type 0x9063660D, but I'll need a .bt file to reverse engineer it.

It's too bad you needed to write a tool to patch the world files. World files are loaded a bit specially which is why they don't work super well with the Mods folder. Perhaps we could look in the Mods folder for files named "worldname.*.world" when loading a world to allow there to be world specific mods that override records in .world files.
