    I found a possible solution to the problem w/ items not downloading.

    I had been having an issue - and I'm sure I'm not the only one - where items off the Exchange and Sims 3 Store simply weren't downloading. They would download, per se, but then the launcher would freeze and when i restart the program the download was gone.

    I found that if you keep your downloads list empty, (not the installed content list, just the downloads) stuff downloads just fine.

      I too found that. I hadnt played Sims in about a month. Since then I had moved some files around and mistakenly moved the sims 3 folder. But I noticed I could dl stuff just fine. I thought EA had fixed this, but your solution sounds more likely

      Silly question but how do you remove things from the list?

      Open The Sims 3 Game Launcher
      Click the "downloads" tab on the right.
      Click "Select All"
      Click "Delete"

      _________________OR___________________

      Open Harddrive
      Documents
      open "Electronic Arts" folder
      open "The Sims 3" folder
      open "Downloads" folder
      highlight/select everything
      right click
      "Move to Trash"
