Its my birthday the same week as sims 4 comes out is there laptop good enough to play sims 4 on? Nothing too expensive and probably from England. Im only 12 turning 13 ive already got sims 3 but the laptop had to be wiped with it not being good enough. Any good enough laptops which are not that expensive?

What I would look out for in a laptop for Sims 4: try and get an Intel Core i5 CPU (or at least Core i3), at least 4GB of RAM (preferably more), and a dedicated graphics chip from AMD or NVIDIA with at least 512MB of VRAM. If not, then look for Intel Iris graphics if you want to play on higher settings.
The main thing that determines what settings your PC could handle is the GPU for modern laptops - Intel HD graphics perhaps only low-medium settings, whereas dedicated AMD and NVIDIA graphics will tend to allow higher graphical settings.

I think that laptop will meet the minimum requirements, but will probably only handle Sims 4 at low settings. What is your budget for the laptop?

That's a pretty small budget - have you considered buying a prebuilt desktop? They can often give you more performance for your money. If not, then I'll have a look at what laptops I can find.

Here is one, which is £499 with a £100 cashback (be warned though, cashback is often made up of PC World vouchers)

There were ones with more powerful graphics, however you would run the risk of the laptop overheating. This has an Intel Core i5-4210U (1.7GHz, TurboCore @ 2.7GHz), 8GB of RAM, an NVIDIA GeForce 820M (w/ 2GB of VRAM), and a 1TB SSHD. I mainly chose this one because it had a 1080p screen resolution, which should make general computing look more crisp.
I would advise you to wait until launch to see how well this would perform - I think it should be able to handle medium settings.

The NVIDIA-based laptop GPUs didn't have as much problems with overheating as far as I remember, but using a cooling pad is always a good idea to prevent the laptop getting too hot, as hotter laptops won't last as long.

Some more laptops, as you requested (but I still think the Lenovo from before is the best):
I can look around for desktops too - refer to my first post of suggested specifications.
