@Takissis I know I'm super late on this so you don't have to walk through it or anything. Just thought I'd share since I finally finished it! Your Gallery ID: ebuchala Lot Name: May '20 Shell Challenge (I forgot to rename it when I uploaded; it would be Leverton Lot, if I had) Gallery Link: Gallery link Slideshow Link (if…
I'm not sure on how you came away with the idea that I don't understand what you're saying? You've been very clear how and why you evaluate the game the way you do and I think that many people do it the same way so I'm not sure what you're having problems grasping about that or why you think people are misunderstanding…
What do you mean by conical stairs? Also, I would love more stairs-- --stairs with landings so you can go halfway up a room, add a landing and u-turn the stair up the rest of the way --spiral stairs --ladders --stairs with storage underneath I'm still hoping they end up giving us a Tiny House Stuff Pack sometime with…
I don't understand what you mean about my statement being contradictory to you personally? I didn't say you told me to spend money on a game I didn't like so I don't really follow that point, either. Your point is still what we just discussed--you evaluate the game you're playing, whether you like it or not, with other…
Not really. The point of that kind of comparison for most people is a way of evaluating if they're getting enough bang for their buck in whatever form of entertainment they consume. You could say the same thing about books, going out to eat, playing a game of laser tag or paintball, etc. $15 for a game I don't like that…
I like the pack alright and the secret lives amuse me. However, if I would've been able to brainstorm what I would have preferred to see for something like this: Instead of My First Pet, a Small Pets GP with a variety of smaller pets like reptiles, birds, fish and all the included pets in here. I would save rabbits for a…
To top it all off, modders don't have to answer to anyone, nor do they have to QA anything or make sure it works as required within whatever technical frameworks they're given. They don't have other deadlines related to the game that they have to meet in the meantime and they get to pick and choose whatever it is they want…
Ah, @JoAnne65 I seem to recall the same thing from Drake but didn't remember well enough so didn't mention it. I really have had the impression from the start they're trying to extend this version as long as possible. I believe profitability is a major, if not the major defining factor in deciding when to stop producing…
I never said they stated TS4 would get a longer life. That's just my speculation based on what they have said and how they've handled dlc for this iteration. Just like your speculation is that they're going to release it in the usual time frame as previous games. Mine is mainly based on their statement that they would…
We'll have to agree to disagree on when they're planning on releasing TS5. I've suspected since they released TS4 that they were planning on trying to extend it for at least half again (if not double) the normal life span of the previous Sims games, though I'm sure it's all dependent on how well the expansions continue to…
I think having more rabbit hole jobs would be great, too. As much as I like the idea of careers where we follow our Sims, I kinda get bored with them after a bit. If you've got more than one Sim in a hh, it's usually more fun, IMO, to play the one not limited to certain activities during the work day. I actually wish…
I think it's because they've changed how they're handling the game overall. I personally think their intention is to make the TS4 run almost twice as long as previous base games and I get the impression that was the plan while they were building the new engine. But they need content to be released regularly and it's a lot…
Maxis has kind of added that focus themselves, really, by making gameplay objects a major part of every Stuff Pack. Granted we buy Stuff Packs for stuff but like @Sjofn said, the gameplay item(s) is usually what makes me excited or not for a pack, personally. I agree that it was a smart move on EA/Maxis' part to add the…
Yeah, definitely not related to CC or mods. I used to play with both but have been playing vanilla recently and have noticed it happening more now. Hopefully they'll look into tweaking this behavior. It's pretty annoying.
Eh, people have been speculating this exact same thing for TS4 Seasons since the game came out. I wouldn't be surprised if they'd considered it as a possibility. Thing is, I can see either: 1. Inidividual GPs for each season filled with CAS, B/B and gameplay related to each season OR 2. One EP with all 4 seasons and then…
I wouldn't worry about it being TS5 yet. I think some people who really dislike this version have their wishful-thinking caps on, is all. Maxis has been pretty clear that they're following a different release schedule/pattern for dlc with TS4 and, even more recently, that they'll be offering plenty more content for this…
It was a toss-up for me between gameplay and build/buy items. I love building in this version of the game so I'm always looking for more b/b stuff but the gameplay items tend to ultimately make the pack for me since it's fun to get more things to do.
The first time I saw my doggo do it, I honestly thought he was going to get the flies/dirt/smelly failure and I would have to bathe him, but no, it didn't affect him like that at all. :D
I have to admit this made me cringe. The first time I saw my dog go outside and pee on my porch, he then immediately started rolling and playing in it and, another time, drank from it. I was sitting going "Ewwww gross!". I think when the dog's pee and make a puddle, the puddle itself is just a generic puddle object in the…
No joy. :( I have no clue where they moved that thread. I skimmed through Grahams section but didn't see it. I'll try again when I have more time. They have rats and, my favorite, the voidcritter/tiny waterbuffalo. <3
