Game was doing well, no problems for 4 plus hours (some of the time game was on pause, I had other stuff to do). Then it crash to the desktop. Anyone else have this problem?

According to your DXDiag report, your processor is an AMD Phenom(tm) 9150e Quad-Core Processor running at 1.8GHz. The game requires at least a 2.4GHz processor under Vista to run at optimal capacity. I would advise upgrading your CPU if you can.
Your video device is an NVidia GeForce 9800 GT and its drivers are dated 12/26/2008. I advise updating your video drivers to the latest version. Instructions can be found at this link:
Be sure to uninstall the old video drivers before installing the new one.
I would also advise updating your Vista OS to the latest service pack, which can be done via Windows Update in your Start menu taskbar.
Finally, I suggest cleaning out the inside of your computer case (while the computer is turned off) by using a can of compressed air available at any computer hardware store. Pay particular attention to exhaust vents, heat sinks, and cooling fans. You may also want to consider relocating your machine into a room with a cooler temperature, possible next to an AC.
For reference, you can check out these links for random crash issues:
Nichaedemus - First she has a quad core - so that is 4 cores with 1.8 and that 2.4 rule is about single core pcs. Reread the requirements before you instruct others. m'kay?
Also there is a known bug in the coding called the "DasmX86DLL.dll is missing" access code violation caused by the programmers leaving a debug direction to a null argument which is responsible for the crashes. This same "BUG" was seen in Spore as well, and most programmers who have looked at the core programming said it's caused by EA's game debugger they used while developing the game, then removed before they sent it out for shipping. What puzzles other programmers is the fact the game itself is requesting a defunct debugger to start with, and they are calling EA programmers lazy about not properly cleaning up after removing their "tools". When a game is directed to go into a direction where something that existed no longer exists, it's going to crash because unlike the human brain, it cannot change direction and back out of the dead end or wall it's encountered.
If you check the exception log you will see: Dasmx86DLL.dll is missing and you will see: Access Violation reading address oxooooooo4. EA needs to go into the programming and either remove the defunct debugger info or insert a command to make the game take a different path. Only EA can fix this problem, but 99 percent of these crashes after 3-4 hours of play are caused by this stupid mistake. What is the stupidest of all is the fact they did this same error in Spore and then turned around and did it again in the Sims 3.
The fact they fail to go in and fix Spore makes me highly doubt they will fix the same exact error in the Sims 3.
They are so afraid the world will steal their inhouse debugger tools they remove them - I have no problem with that, but when they leave debre' in the path because they don't like cleaning up the trash, I have a lot of problems with that.
People are just wasting their time trying to find solutions on their own pcs if they are getting the above info in the crash log, because nothing they will do can fix this this problem.
I get it myself after 4 hours play, which is why I went looking for the answer and sought out programmers to look into it as well. My middle son is a C++ programmer who has done a lot of work on the D&D games. He was just one of the many programmers I had look into this. Also I run fps limiters and multi heat sensors and my video card never goes above 47 degrees. My cores run from 37 degrees to 57 degrees, and my sata harddrives never have gone higher than 34 degrees. (All Centigrade) and which are all in the better than normal catagory for my particular equipment. I also run an Antec 630 watt psu and a Cyberpower backup system. Like me many users are running system barely 2-3 months old and it's highly unlikely excessive dust is yet a problem unless they have a gazillion pets or live in the desert. Never mind the fact the game actually gives the users an exception log telling you precisely what the problem is.
Other than that she does need to update the OS and her VC drivers, but neither will stop this particular crash.

This sounds like an overheating issue with your computer. Can you post a complete DXDiag report of your setup please? Instructions can be found here:

Your video device is an NVidia GeForce 9800 GT and its drivers are dated 12/26/2008. I advise updating your video drivers to the latest version. Instructions can be found at this link:
https://easims.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/easims.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faqid=10711
