Please Help RESOLVED

For the first time one of my kids was invited to his graduation. Not only that but he was dubbed the valedictorian of his class. Thing is, the grad ceremony goes from 6pm - 11:30pm. The time clashes with the Starlight Accolades Show. Of course it does. Do you have to be there right at 6, or can you safely come later and not miss out? I'm six Sim-hours away. Please, help, if you're able.

I made the decision to take the graduate and his family to the auditorium at 6pm. Seemed more like it was set up for a prom, which it was. But then the game put all of the Sims outside, while the decor was changed for graduation. I brought my family back in and the graduate was now dressed in his robe and cap. Still, they sat around for nearly 45 minutes. So, I took a chance and sent them down to the Starlight Accolades. The nominated Sim was called first. Yay. So, I sent the family back to the auditorium. People were still there. The podium wasn't functioning, and since my graduate was supposed to give a speech, I quickly exchanged the school podium for the presidential one. And had him give speech. Yay. I had my cake and ate it, too. Thank you.

Thank you. I admit I was in a panic. I had changed out the interior design of the PBP Studio Lounge I found in the Gallery. I checked out about 4-5 of them. Placed them into a new save so I could check out the interior then decided I liked the exterior of the one I chose best. Inspired by the interior of another one, I swapped places with the lounge part with the area set-up for the awards show. I hadn't yet had a chance to see if the Accolades would go on as they should. My conundrum in a nutshell. So glad to know the venue is safe.
