  • It seems as though The Sims 4 has a different target demographic than the demographic they already have. They're not trying to appeal to classic sims tradition, more like the modern social media, faux luxury, party, and "selfie" culture (and all the things that come to mind with it.)
  • There's always Isla Paradiso and Sunlit Tides :p
  • I prefer strict monogamy unless I am playing a special kind of playthrough, such as a gold digger or pregnant challenge. But in The Sims 4 with their "weirder" stories is where I have had the most difficult time with monogamy. You autonomously flirt with one sim once and suddenly they have a romantic relationship bar.…
  • @Piperbird1 Thanks for the tip, I'll have a look at your houses on the Gallery. The modern luxury style homes are usually the most popular it seems. It is a bit difficult to work cultural differences into the builds with the base content. A building pack would be interesting.
  • I would like to see more Spanish-Italian-Mediterranean variety styled homes. There are some beautiful ones in the gallery but not an extraordinary amount. I would also really like to see more apartment building/complex houses, as I frequently use those on my sims. The more of those the better.
  • Actually I kind of miss Mrs. Crumplebottom.
  • Welcome! I have liked to do many things with my sims over the years, but the one thing that always amuses me is playing humorously. Be that mischief, themed sims/characters or environments, funny playthrough goals, or whatever spontaneum I happen across. The humor and unpredictability is always my favorite thing about the…
  • I have that problem with my dungeons. *cough* The problem is that the sims are inordinately chatty, and insist on using the "chat" interaction after every single other interaction. Mine always end up having a nice chat and a glass of milk after a fight over the last plate of burnt waffles in the cellar.
  • I am the same way. I almost never let my most important sims die and rarely play generationally. I think it is worth it to try at least once so that you have a unique legacy.
  • Sometimes this happens to me in CAS, and it has happened to me since I had my plain vanilla CAS trial. I just exit the "new game" and reload CAS. If I click on the shiny textured lipstick first it appears, but if I click on the matte lipstick, and without clicking off of it - then click the shiny lipstick, the texture does…
  • I used to play only made up characters but in the past few years my play style has changed. Now the only thing I really play with is sims based on real people, be that pop culture or otherwise. I do still play with my made up main sims on occasion though. Most made up households are created for a specific purpose, like a…
  • I wouldn't mind CC being included in Gallery downloads if like in TS2 there was an option in-game to delete specific items. It's more of a hassle to look for hidden files and dig through your mods folder to remove something buggy.
  • I know it's not likely to be the very next expansion, but I find myself really missing the addition of pets in The Sims 4. I'd like to see a pets expansion with more animal variety someday. Maybe farm animals. A farm life oriented expansion is something I've heard simmers talk about for a long time. Could be interesting…
  • I am not being pessimistic and my opinion is certainly not going to stop EA from doing their job, or doing whatever they want for that matter. I am simply stating historical facts based upon EA's unchangeable track record throughout time. If factual truths upset you then you are going to have a hard time being a member of…
  • 1- By that I mean with The Sims 4 Studio you can do whatever you want to EA's premade clothes; colors, patterns, etc, just like create a style but much less intuitive or accessible to the standard user. 2- EA has a history of not going over tracks made by the mod community. It was that way with Sims 2 and Sims 3. If a mod…
  • Why would EA take time out to implement what the mod community has already done?
  • My play style is more like this: - Spend 4 hours in CAS - Finally enter game - Play for 10 minutes - Never touch that household again - Repeat But really, when I'm not doing that, I like to play with just one family for a long time and add in other secondary families to that world. Most of my gameplay revolves around…
  • The "followed my husband into the bathroom" expression
  • Just going to leave this here. (Broken link function?) :\ https://youtube.com/watch?v=e-🐸🐸🐸🐸
  • That did the trick. Much appreciated, thank you!
  • The first household I played was with the Goth family. I had to pause the first 15 minutes in and take this uncomfortable screenshot when Bella followed Mortimer into the bathroom and stared into the camera at the most conveniently inconvenient moment. The face she makes says it all:
  • I don't like the fact that the heights are the same. I just wish there was a better way to tell without craning your neck and following the sim home to figure out what age they are... :| But, the bright side is that this leaves the door open for people who want a tween life state. Tweens could theoretically be shorter than…
  • I know where you're coming from. I was a little disappointed by some things TS4 as well, but I don't hate the game. I understand why certain decisions were made whether or not I like said decisions. I have also played Sims 2 and 3 throughout the years. I miss those same features from TS2 as well. The demographic of today…
  • That is extremely disrespectful. Do not ever compare a serious eating disorder to someone's body type, whether real or fictional.
  • Presently there are not pools or swimwear but I suppose that can still be subject to change before the final release, though I highly doubt it given the amount of time that is left before the final release. Somewhere SimsVIP replied a statement about it to a fan comment, but she hasn't openly stated it via twitter. My…
  • SimsVIP has confirmed that infant life stages (ex: baby, toddler) will not ever be able to be created in CAS. EA has also stated that Sims 4 will feature the same life states as The Sims 3.
