  • There are cheats you can use that completes the challenge very quickly and requires nothing but a few minutes of typing. I know a lot of people don't like cheats, but at least you could get quickly to the end of the challenge. http://www.carls-sims-4-guide.com/gamepacks/strangerville/cheats.php…

  • You need to upload the screenshot to photo hosting site and then link to it in your post. The picture will then appear in the body of your post. HTH Mylita
  • Unfortunately, TS4 has no firemen, no police, no burglars. I install both alarms and the sprinkler usually puts out the fire. Mylita
  • Yes, TS3 had a lot of tools that TS4 sadly still doesn't have. Mylita
  • I always put a small smoke alarm by the stove or other spots that could be combustible and the bigger one on the outside of the house. I wouldn't think the lack of roads would be a problem for the firemen/police, given we all travel by 'teleportation' from the lot anyway. Mylita
  • This works quite well and it is easy to undo the open walls after you save it. Mylita
  • I'm sorry, I haven't used a laptop, so have no idea why laptop mode would do away with the terrain paints. All of the houses I make, with very few exceptions, are downloaded from the Gallery, and I've never had the terrain paints disappear. Sorry I can't be of more help. Mylita
  • When you click on the terrain tools symbol, it should open to show the terrain paints, the eraser tool and the terrain tools. Mine does, I just checked it. I was confused at first because it only shows the shovel symbol where the paints used to be, but by opening the terrain tool, I found the paints as well. Mylita
  • Perhaps I misunderstood the question, but I read it to imply that he doesn't get past the blue screen of death. Mylita
  • I'm really sorry to hear about this disaster! My understanding about reinstall is it overwrites everything. (A good reason to back files up periodically to an external drive.) I've no idea how you cure this without losing those files. Mylita
  • Looks like shelves to me, the ones made to hold collectibles and such. Neat idea! Mylita
  • I downloaded a pregnant sim, and other than changing her age which you can't do, was able to edit her appearance completely. Baby born in due course looked like Mom in skin and hair coloring. No mod needed for this. I do this quite frequently. I just like seeing the baby and aging it up to toddler. /shrug Mylita
  • I use mostly recolors and a very few non recolor cc items. I quit using mods a while back. I just would love more recolors. I really miss being able to recolor items in game the way we could in TS3. Mylita
  • This! LOL Learned that the hard way back in TS3. Mylita
  • I like Milo for his traits and his good looks. I think he'd be fun to play. Mylita
  • Yes, those are just counters and cabinets artfully arranged to create a custom look for the TV cabinet. Mylita
  • What occurs to me is to draw a room, then put posts at each corner and join them by a spandrel. This leaves a room with posts and no walls. Install roof normally. Hope this helps. Mylita
  • If you use testingcheats on and bb.showhiddenobjects, you will find them all. Or go check Carl's or SimsVip guides, I think they are all listed there. Mylita
  • When I have a sim watching TV, I have it on fast forward. So, I am not watching it. I usually do this to make time go by faster to get to doing something else, like giving birth or going on vacation. But, I only play one sim at a time anyway. Mylita
  • I'm retired and have lots of time, so, no, I don't feel guilty at all. LOL Mylita
  • I find it ugly and cluttered. If it's not broke, don't fix it. I had no trouble with the old one. More time should have been spent on bug fixes. /shrug I do feel bad for the team, I'm sure they had the best intentions. Mylita
  • Cheats still work for me, though I use 'testingcheats on'. You could look at Carl's or SimsVIP. They have lists of cheats. http://www.carls-sims-4-guide.com/ https://simsvip.com/ Hope you find what you are looking for! Mylita
  • I've never tried it, but I have read one post where the simmer said that was what she did (though she started with a child I think) routinely, so the kids turn out the way she preferred. Mylita
  • I own all packs from the beginning of TS3 on. Although, I don't truly play in TS4 in the way that I played in TS3. All I do now is make a sim, create their home, save, rinse and repeat. Very unsatisfying. Mylita
  • I was really replying, indirectly--probably should have quoted Sigzy05-- who said there was a costume tab, which surprised me. And I was ingame and could see none so labeled. Sorry, should have made that more clear. Mylita
