Well, my new legacy seems to be starting off well. Looking forward to expanding it and getting another Crowley story started. No marrying explorers! Second generation born. Well, technically third as I started with a single female with a toddler and now her daughter has two boys. All going well so far!

  • Okay, some images, some are old favourites of mine: You got it baby, granted this one isn't very subtle! • @5782341b77vl There seem to be a few Sims 3 emotions missing particularly the thumbs down and some of the sobs. Nice comparison video though, still admittedly don't like Sims 4 style and definitely don't find Sims 3 or 2 for that matter robotic. The art style for Sims 4 sims makes them all look like they've got that…
  • Try to create a desktop shortcut to the exe version of the sims 3 university (which should be in the sims 3 university folder. If it still won't open, I'd restart your computer, or check Task Manager to see if the PC has a stunted start of the program running in processes. If it does, you could try to cancel this and then…
  • Have you tried opening the launcher to start the game? Do you usually use a desktop shortcut to the exe document in the program files? Have you had any issues with the game opening in the past?
  • @lanlyn Nice nursery! Initially I wondered about the butterfly wallpaper, then I remembered those are those wall decorations! Nice scheme in there and you've some very cute doggies too!
  • Agree with the comments above, I do really love the changes they made to pets, specifically that you can control them. If I have to pick only one thing however, it would be the new activities made available with the WA pack. While like a lot of people, I have amended by holiday destinations to make them more 'holiday'…
  • As others are saying, I honestly don't understand the 'Robotic' claim. My sims move smoothly and fluidly and @thegummybear13 I don't know why it matters to you whether or not they breathe in CAS (which they do). I would prefer less movement in CAS because I'm trying to build a person. Move around a bit during traits,…
  • @bekkasan Yeah, it's funny that Lucas has ended up looking a lot like Wyatt, minus the eye colour in his elder years. Thanks! @thuggishsplicer Ooo, I like Aidan, he's a very cute sim! @amyedwards1986 Best of luck to Luke at university. I suppose as a celebrity he wouldn't want to dorm it. While I used to hate the dorms…
  • There are also store updates, so you might want to try and run the update through the launcher for store content to be on the safe side. If you still can't see them in game, go to your purchases page and download the items again through the launcher and install them.
  • @AftrNoonOvrRide There is a thread by @ciane which outlines all of the changes she had to make to Isla Paradiso, including a link to her saved game which would allow you to download it and just start playing in the world with her changes, but it would only exist as a save file, so you wouldn't be able to just choose a new…
  • @thuggishsplicer The updates should be there somewhere, but there was a huge break between January and April that I wasn't updating due to personal issues, so I started with Lucas as a toddler in Hidden Springs. Nope, the sandpit is just an adult magnet. Put it into your community park and just watch them flock to it, it's…
  • The Island Paradise town of Isla Paradiso is incredibly laggy but Into the Future is very playstyle specific, while Showtime I didn't enjoy much, but you might like the careers. The IP activities however can be carried out in any town and many custom towns also have dive lots (the only thing specific to this area). The…
  • Oh, I've also very recently used Enablelotlocking to amend the home base locations in China, Egypt and France and I use MOO to place plants in landscaping but don't like to use it inside for fear of routing issues. I forget about the ones I do use since I stopped using the money and other cheats! I only use Buydebug when…
  • I'm sure she's fine. As said above, all sims, pets included, have a percentage chance to be saved from death and I've had a couple of dogs who lived longer than their feline counterparts, despite having a shorter lifespan bar. Your dog is just getting lucky.
  • The only time I've had to reinstall was when I built my new computer. Other than that, thankfully, I haven't had to uninstall or reinstall due to crashing and game play issues. I don't push my game much, I'm sparse and careful with my CC, I manage the dead, have memories turned off etc to control my save file size, and I…
  • Crowley Family Update - Birthdays and Moving On Whoa...this is...whoa... [img][/img] Both Naoise and Fiona had received awards for their efforts within their afterschool groups. Naoise received a signed Football Jersey and Fiona received an award for her dramatic feats. [img][/img] [img][/img] Soifra wasn't part of an…
  • I use freerealestate when starting up a town to move in other families. I use testingcheatsenabled and open up buydebug. I'll use resetsim but I don't technicaly consider that a cheat because it's often necessary! I'll also teleport graduating sims to the atrium in university so they don't get stuck in the bottleneck at…
  • @KevinL5275 Just lay the umbrella on the ground, go into buy mode and choose CASt as you would for any other object. Sorry didn't mean to answer in @PalmArrow 's place, just saw it and thought I'd let you know.
  • @BrittanyChick22 Very nice house. I LOVE the wall tapestry. Where did you get that CC and your rugs? At the moment the Crowley house is very big for me too.
  • @Anonymous_Loba24 No thank you. When I say challenge myself I mean four children of staggered ages. No, not four all at once. No. I'm frightening myself just thinking about it! @venusdemilosims Again, I hope you're doing okay. Family things happening that really shake you are hard to move out of. On another note, I love…
  • @Karritz Nice update! Love the little gingerbread doll house. @BoiSimmer Good to hear your sims are advancing in their careers and skills! @Wonderstruckk Great update and lovely family! I like the name Emery for the little girl, very pretty. Unique but not silly like some celebrities! @cwaddell Lots of reading going on!…
  • @jillbg I know it's ridiculous! Put a sandpit down in the park and kids will rarely get to use it because they'll be so many adults in there!
  • @CravenLestat I'm sorry, please don't call child services! Honestly, my mother is visiting so it's effecting my stories and my concentration! Love her but man is it stressful having company!
  • Crowley Family Update - All this Growing up! Ugh...I'm surrounded by children. The photo in the background are both of my landscape shots of Shang Simla and Champ Les Sims, they're fine but for some reason they didn't show up here! [img][/img] This update starts off with a bit of depressing news. Honey had reached the end…
  • @emorrill Can you recover the dog by going into Edit Town and then moving in the dog from the family in the library? So sorry to hear that she's lost Bony Dog though. I hated having things like that happen but at least they usually don't now as I play with freewill on high, but back when I was first simming, I turned it…
  • I know the music by heart. Do-do-do, Do-do-do, Do-do-do-doooo....and so on. Thanks @TreyNutz I've never attempted to disable this for NPCs, but I might try it. So far in my current game there hasn't been a problem but you never know!
  • @graventhe It doesn't cause any problems. Just go to the cemetery, tick on the mausoleum and select 'Manage the Dead'. You can then delete all of the tombstones of deceased sims that your sim doesn't personally know or whose tombstone you don't want in-game. These are all counted as sims in your town population as you can…
  • Do you have memories on? If so, turn them off, completely. Go to the mausoleum regularly and cleanse the dead by removing all tombstones of sims that your sim does not know, removing them from your town's active population. Don't keep things in your sims home or inventory if you're not using/don't plan to use them as…
  • You can upgrade them, but there is a glass encased fireplace (can't remember what EP/SP it came with) that as far as I'm aware can't catch fire and can't be upgraded to be fireproof because of that. The only problem is that it isn't a 'wall' fireplace. It's more a middle of the room fireplace. I generally just have my sims…
  • @bekkasan Yeah, I'll usually try to do it that way as it makes it easiest. If I pick the youngest, there is less time that they're not really able to progress because there are younger siblings still living in the house. I won't pick the youngest however if I just like one of the sims more than the other and it usually…
