I have been drafting my Sims on paper, but they look like they should be on King of the Hill. The next step involves giving them personalities, which are incredibly unpredictable. Before even thinking about the game, I must brush up on my Simlish. So far, it's proven very difficult.
I'll gladly take a code, EA. There's a grilled cheese in it for you! But on a more serious note, you will be hard-pressed to find a Simmer who could give anyone a code, because it's just so awesome to say, "hey, I got invited".
I haven't received anything yet, but I'm feeling pretty good about my chances. I'm great at getting picked for things (except for kickball teams). If I get it, I get it, and if not, I can wait.
I will stick with houses similar to those found in 1920's Sears home catalogs. My favorite is the Marina from 1920-23. It looks like this... Or you could get a gabled dormer like this...
Since I'm all about dysfunctional, I'll create, to my best ability, the Bundy family from Married... With Children. Then I'll create some equally dysfunctional neighbors.
One type of bungalow that's very close to my heart is the Sears Marina kit home from 1923. I grew up in a home exactly like this, except it was blue. So if any of these are available, I'm definitely downloading!
I'll start out with a middle-aged married couple, Rick and Scarlet. Rick is a police officer, and Scarlet is a devoted housewife (I know, this isn't 1956 anymore). They live with their friends, Tom, Johnny, Holly, Paul, and Mark. Tom is a self-proclaimed "ladies' man" who is frequently getting beat up by jealous…
Personally, it doesn't matter to me if someone's gay or not. I make sure to get to know someone for the person they are, not the label. Pre-made same-sex couples would for sure make the game relatable for some people, but it can be a touchy subject for others. It's all about personal preference.
I don't want the game to flop, but I do worry about that being a possibility. Sure, I have been disappointed lately with the omission of toddlers/open world, but I still have hope for a good game. Keep your chins up my fellow Simmers.
It would be great to have three worlds, but something is a little sketchy about it. Probably the fact that it's not confirmed straight from the horse's mouth. Or in this case, the Guru's mouth.
I could use a demo. Don't know if I could get to September without one. Been listening to a song titled "See You in September" and thinking about TS4. For you youngsters, it's an old song from the late 50's or early 60's
Gotta be careful with the magazine articles, too. They don't seem to have the best track record lately. Then again, I always have hope. If there is a demo in the future, I hope for CAS, because I need to know for myself that it works.
